“wonderful hotel- unbeatable location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

we stayed here for 2 nites and enjoyed it immensely. fabulous ambiance. staff was nice and helpful. located 2 steps away from the mozquita- couldn't be better! we had a wonderful room- #141- overlooking the beautiful inner courtyard. was a large room with a full bath. the only room which has 2 sets of double doors opening up onto a view of the courtyard. would def recommend this hotel for others and would gladly go back myself!

Room Tip: ask for 141- overlooks the beautiful inner courtyard. was v quiet at nite.

Maimonides hotel has the perfect location. Just in front of the grand mosque and in the middle of it all. To access is it you will need to walk with your luggage from the nearest access point to the old town, unless you are coming with a cab, so travel light and with wheeled luggage.

The rooms are nice, modern and roomy. Highly recommended for visiting this amazing monument and the old alleyways of Cordoba.

Hotel Eurostars Maimonides is a good hotel. The location is great – on the back side of the cathedral/mosque of Cordoba. Most of the touristic sites are within walking distance.

The hotel is in a small and quiet street at the old part of the city. Cars are not allowed to enter to this part so it is very quiet, but it was also a bit difficult to get to the hotel with the car. Hotel guests are allowed to drive to the hotel, and there is a parking in the basement of the hotel (paid).

Although this is an old building, the hotel is in good shape.
My room was in good size, clean and comfortable.

The 2 things I wasn't happy with are – the central air condition that wasn't cooling enough for me and the staff which didn't provide a good service.

For me, the location and parking made it a good choice.

We booked a room with a double bed which they confirmed. Upon arrival however, all they had was a room with twin beds. We accepted and as compensation were given a room that overlooked the Mesquita! That provided a fantastically romantic view, especially at night when the monument was illuminated. ! In addition, the hotel being so central, it was convenient to be able to drop in during the day .The hotel however, is somewhat shabby. Our room was narrow and basic. The pillows provided were long, in the shape of a sausage; bizarre!? The bedding was minimal. Luckily we were out most of the day and did not have to spend too much time in the room.

Room Tip: I understand that some rooms don't even have windows. So make sure you specify that you want to...

The hotel is located right in the middle of the Old City. Right next to the Roman Bridge and La Mezquita.

Good price for the location. The hotel was reasonably equipped. The only problem was random steps in the middle of the hall.

You just can't beat the location of this hotel. The Mezquita is so unique, thankfully it wasn't destroyed so many years ago. The hotel lobby and courtyard are beautiful. Our beds were not so comfortable, but exceptable to have such a great location. The Roman bridge is beautiful at night, but fun during the day too, with all the ducks under the Calahorra Tower. We found the breakfast good, didn't have any other meals here. There are no rugs in the rooms, so moving furniture is very noisy, but we didn't find the maids a nuisance, maybe we were up early enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just need new mattresses!!

Literally opposite the Mezquita in Cordoba, the location of this hotel could not be better. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and efficient and the price an absolute bargain. I would definitely recommend Eurostar Maimonides to anyone who wants to stay in and explore the beautiful city of Cordoba.

Room Tip: Smokers: the typical Andalucian patio is the perfect place to indulge in this almost forbidden vice...
