Balcon de Cordoba is a small “boutique” hotel, in the old town part of Cordoba, in a side street about 20m from the Mesquita. We arrived by train, and took a taxi to the hotel, being dropped at the end of the road, I can imagine anyone arriving in their own car, and looking for somewhere to park will experience difficulties – firstly the entry to the area is restricted, and secondly the streets are very, very narrow, the taxi which came to pick us up on departure came down the street the hotel is situated on, and his tyres were rubbing on both kerbs on exit. Not for the faint-hearted! The advice is to listen carefully to the advice from the hotel staff, and then FOLLOW IT CAREFULLY!

We stayed for 2 nights during January, so the hotel wasn’t full, but there was a steady stream of visitors coming into the hotel for coffee on the rooftop terrace – it has a superb view of the church next door.

Our room was on the first floor overlooking both the courtyard and the street, and was extremely spacious and comfortable. It had a separate lounge, and a bedroom complete with bath! The bed was very large and comfortable, the bathroom well equipped, with shower cubicle and multi-jet shower. One downside was that no kettle/coffeemaker was provided.

We experienced no problems with night-time noise from the street outside, even though the road was heavily used by tourist groups during the day.

Breakfast, served either in your room or in the dining room was more than adequate.

In all, the hotel was superb, made so by the staff, who are wonderful, and who try to meet all your requirements. It is well situated for the main tourist attractions and the shopping area in Cordoba, despite the problems of access, and in walking distance of some superb restaurants – all recommended by the reception staff.

Overall we had a superb stay here, and can recommend it wholeheartedly.

We stayed at the Balcón de Córdoba from December 2-4, 2017. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Loved the indoor terrace and the balcony with a perfect view of the Mezquita. Our room was nicely decorated and confortable. Everything at the hotel was just very tastefully decorated. The location is just perfect, you are 5 minutes away from the Mezquita and the Alcazar, and a short walk from all the great spots. Breakfast was included and was very good and had many options. We would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

Raul and his staff treated my wife and me most generously in these very comfortable and delightful premises. They attended to every detail so that we had a most enjoyable stay in Cordoba. You could not do better.

Room tip: Room 8 (ARTEMIS) was well appointed

One of the coolest hotels we've ever stayed at. Right down a side street from the Mezquita. We were lucky to visit during the patio festival. It rained some during our 3 night stay, so used the hotel to duck into several times to dry out and get away from the crowds. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh made items, pastry and juices. Staff was so polite and courteous. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice rooftop with views of the city. Well worth the extra cost!

Definitely the best hotel in Cordoba! The interior is beautiful and the people are very kind. We went for a walk in the center of Cordoba. Although the restaurants in the center of Cordoba looked good, we gave the restaurant in the hotel a try and came to the conclusion that it is just the most tasteful and original kitchen. It is cosy and stylish inside and prices are very reasonable!
