Hotel is spacious with good views over the river from some rooms. - Not ours.
It is on the opposite side of the river to the Mesquite and restaurants and atmosphere .
On a subsequent visit I would choose somewhere in the old town near to the Mesquite.
We had a lower ground floor room which felt like an annexe to the hotel.
The wi-fi did not carry to our room so we had to go to the communal areas to use it.

Room Tip: Avoid lower ground floor rooms - I think they start with 9

wonderful location, just cross the bridge and you are at the cathedral/mesquita, restaurants, bars, shops, juderia (jewish quarter). the hotel has a restaurant that during the day serve snacks outside so you can enjoy sunshine and a beautiful view of the river.

We arrived in the afternoon and parked in the cooler basement car park out of the baking sun. A quick lift ride to the reception brought us face to face with a very warm welcome from thoroughly professional staff who helped with luggage to our room. The room was stylishly decorated and comfortable with a spanish/moorish theme. The view of the Roman bridge and the Mesquita beyond reinforced our choice of hotel. In formation in the room helped us to locate the main sites - although we could see them from the room - but most importantly meant we could identify the restaurant for our evening meal and a flamenco concert.
The breakfast was excellent with a great choice and a very relaxed atmosphere. We would recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family.

Room Tip: Views of the Roman Bridge and the city are preferable.

My wife and I arrived to the city on june 15th by 2:30, it was a torrid saturday afternoon. At first, the desk attendant was correct and assertive.
When we arrived to our room, after a long walk across what seemed to be a dirty, lengthy carpeted corridor, the room was really hot.
I introduced the card into the slot, set the thermostat to the min and the vent to max; the response was insignificant.
The worse was yet to come. It was the response from the Desk: I called, as calmly as I could, to the front desk. A feminine voice gave me every kind of useless explanations about the cause of the discomfort, but not a single solution.
"You could come downstairs and write a formal complaint, we need your signature on it". "No way!" I replied, "I did not came to Córdoba to waste my time complaining or even discussing, all I want is a solution". "Do you have any other room with normal air conditioning, for instance?Even a fan would be much better than this."
"No sir, the temperature is set below the Government standard, besides, all rooms are in the same situation."
Even though, after a short while, they sent a technician to verify the system. The man said that it was operating normally.
After a few minutes, I received a call from the front desk. The tone had changed: the technician will come again to show me another room. "OK", I said, patiently.
The other room was much smaller and uncomfortable, and the air conditioning difference was negligible, so we decided to stay in the first one, enduring the 36 Celsius.
Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Please do not choose this hotel in summer. Spend a few more euros and choose a good one.

Four night stay in Cordoba at this hotel. Booked a double room with a view and were actually given a superior room with a view - and what a view it was, over the river to the beautiful historical area of Cordoba - one which you could never tire of. Large room with an enormous bed which was extremely comfortable. Large enough bathroom with a great shower. When we returned to the hotel after an evening spent wandering/eating/drinking, our room had been tidied, sheets turned back and curtains drawn which was a nice touch. My husband found it highly amusing to place each of his shoes in a different part of the room each night before going out for the evening - on our return, both shoes would be lined up perfectly, side by side, underneath the mirror. Didn't use the breakfast service as enjoyed our coffee sat in the sunshine on the other side of the river. Would recommend this hotel - we couldn't find any fault. (PS watch out for the otter in the river).

Room Tip: Don't pay for parking in the hotel. There seemed to be a small group of gentlemen who have take...

We were trying to fit in five cities in 10 days in Andalucia, and this was a perfect spot for a short visit to Cordoba, just a walk across the bridge to the main attractions and perfectly located on the river. Breakfast was worth it too. Like many properties in Spain and neighboring countries, the number of stars may be inflated, but its still just fine for this type of visit.

Hesperia Cordoba has a location that can easily override all parametres. A breathtaking view of the old historical city across the bridge is a view that picture postcards are made of. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable, though basic, with all ammenities of comfort in fair measure. The breakfast came to us at a discounted rate and the spread was quite decent. The underground parking offered by the hotel was also a big draw and saved us from scouting the streets looking for signs. The small walk to the historical quarters is a big draw when it comes to choosing this hotel. The spectacular view that the sweeping window in our room offered made us forget all about the currency fluctuations and focus on matters of the heart and soul that this beautiful country had laid bare before us.
