Didn't realize this 4 star hotel only has seasonal air conditioning in the rooms...We were there on very warm March days and it was hot in the room. Apparently, their unit was set to heat and wouldn't be switched to a/c until summer. Strange, it couldn't do both???? Anyway, The nice manager upgraded us to a larger room with big windows that opened so that resolved our problem somewhat, but we still would have preferred air conditioning.
So pluses for this hotel are: nice , friendly, helpful staff.
Very good breakfast.
Modern, well kept facility; spotlessly clean rooms with great bath area.
A neat ancient ruin remains under the glass walkway leading to the restaurant.
Nice patio area near check in, with bubbling water sounds giving a calming feeling.
Pretty good location, though we didn't have the energy to hike uphill to our hotel after a long day of sightseeing, so for us, closer to the main church would have been better for us.
Negatives: no room service, except at breakfast
No snacks, in the so called snack bar...only fruit with your bar order
No restaurant, except at breakfast....find that Weird for a large 4 star hotel.
Also, electrical power wasn't reliable..went in and out many times during our 3 day stay....which we think affected our key to door ...we couldn't get in and had to get a replacement.More
