“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

The hotel has a wonderful location - just 5 minutes walk from the historical center, but also from the main shopping streets. But do take a GPS to find the hotel. There is a free parking not far away, on the main road by the river.

The room was very spacious and modern - I believe we had an upgrade, as description of the room mentioned 11 m2, but it was at least twice the size. The overall decor was great and the indoor patios were fabulous - you could also have breakfast there. Breakfast was quite good for spanish standards (bread was great), but lacked a bit in hot food options.

Please be aware that you need to request one wifi password for each device you have - mobile, laptop, ipad, whatever. The access is however free.

But do not count on having any WIFI coverage whilst touring the city, as you can hardly have any.

When our cab pulled up, I had doubts, once inside, do doubts. Spacious, airy, modern, but we could be nowhere else but Andalucia. The room was large with high ceilings, the bathroom efficient and stylish. We had an internal room, wonderfully quiet. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely, the best breakfast buffet of any of our hotels in Spain. The staff were friendly and helpful, language skills were tried on both sides (but that's as it should be). Plus Roman remains in the basement and courtyard, to know you were not the first people to sleep on this site, gave it that little extra frisson.

Room Tip: Exterior rooms may get street noise.

This is a charming hotel which is a short and interesting walk away from the Mezquita and the historic centre of Cordoba. It is also close to the very attractive Plaza de la Corredera which seems to be modelled on the plazas of Castilian cities. In spite of its nearness to interesting parts of the city, the hotel was quiet and very restful. The room was spacious and, in its own way, quite gracious. The beds were of generous proportions and very comfortable. The staff were helpful, efficient and polite without being overbearing. The hotel was constructed above a Roman villa and the architect had cleverly integrated the Roman remains beneath the modern hotel where they were visible below a glass floor. We ate breakast in a spacious room (it was usually possible to eat outside if preferred). The food was varied and delicious: freshly-pressed juices, lots of eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheese, fruit, pastries, toast, etc.
Everything about this hotel worked; it represented excellent value for money and is much to be recommended.

Great location to explore the city. Some cool bars and restaurants close by too. The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated, the pictures don't do it justice. Was a little tricky to find and park, but the reception were more than helpful with this and recommended somewhere to park free of charge.
As a young couple this was a perfect hotel for us.

Very clean hotel with a good location. Staff hardly spoke any English and had to be prompted to give information like when is breakfast. Only one code for Internet per room, was pretty annoying that only one of us could connect at a time. Rooms have nice views to patios, hence the name of the hotel. Room was on the small side and bed was a little lumpy.
But not bad for the price.

We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel. All up to date and modern facilities which were spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a varied and tasty breakfast with large selection of fruits, cheeses, cold meats, yogurts, etc. which we were able to eat in the courtyard. We found the staff to be both helpful and pleasant. The hotel is close to a plaza with a large choice of restaurants and bars. The historic centre is about a fifteen minute walk away. We found this hotel to be good value for the high standard of accommodation.

This hotel doesn't look much from the front but it is just lovely inside - and we couldn't believe how many rooms there were! Our room, although not the biggest, was immaculate - with stylish modern decor and a spotless bathroom with a powerful shower and a good hairdryer. We were at the back of the hotel and didn't have any issue with noise at any point. We were grateful for the air con as it was so hot, even overnight, when we were in Cordoba. It was very relaxing to take a drink from the bar onto the lovely patios as it got dark. We did not have any issue with smells of sewage either, which had been mentioned in previous reviews by others. This hotel was really good value for money.
