“Great Argentinian restaurant in Spain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

The first thing that struck us was the great attentive service. The owner took time out, on a busy Thursday night, to go through every single item in the menu and explain what it was, which part of each particular animal it came from, and what it went with (being Andalucia, this is a meat, and steak, oriented restaurant.) When it arrived the food was out of this world - freshly cooked, generous portions, and delicious. We went back the next night - worth reserving as it can get busy, though the staff will try to find you a table.

“Great Find in Cordoba!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

After our original choice, Regedera had "mechanical problems", we stumbled upon a fantastic little place for lunch, La Tranquera. Only 4 tables inside and a few more outside.

Cristina was very patient with our limited Spanish and actually spoke English quite well. Her recommendations were spot on.

We each had a salmorejo, a local thick soup and ordered an empanada de rabo (bulls tail), a tortilla, and the fantastic special of the day called flamenquin carbonara. We each had a glass of an excellent local red wine from Cordoba. Total bill €27,20.

“nice ambiance, quiet in January”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

We visited Corboba in January and popped into this restaurant at 9 PM- we were the only people in there throughout the duration of our meal. We shared a beef empanada, croquettes, entrecote, a regional ham dish and a dulce de leche crepe. Everything was very delicious, though my partner found his ham dish to be a bit greasy. The dessert and the empanada were the highlights for me. The service was alright- the waiter was nice enough but not quite attentive considering we were the only people in there.
