When we visited La Tranquera in November, it was rated as the number to restaurant in Cordoba. We were looking for something different than the typical Spanish fare such as tapas we had been eating all week. Argentinian steak sounded great to us.
Unfortunately we had to wait 'till 8.30pm for the restaurant to open at night, unlike the restaurants more aimed at tourists visiting Cordoba in the neighborhood... A typical Spanish thing though.
As it was already rather late, we decided on just a main course, the Argentinian 350g wood-grilled steak, one each for me and my companion. It was great and probably one of the best meals we had on our holiday. The "death-by-chocolate-cake" dessert was tempting but we decided on just the steak as it was quite the dinner already...
If you're not really into hefty steaks, there's a flip side to the menu with typical Spanish fare. Enough stuff to choose from!
We'll definitely stop by again when we are in Cordoba.
