This is the second time I have stayed here and the ambience, location etc... are excellent. However, I agree with the reviewer who says that this seems more 3* than 4* now. Staff friendly and helpful. On second day, I asked for the usual 'please make-up my room' and it had not been cleaned properly. I wouldn't eat at the restaurant again - poor quality and vfm when compared with others nearby. Breakfast excellent - I did get a good B and B deal. Still, worth it for the location, unique architecture and helpful staff.

Good hotel, beautiful setting with all the different patios interconnected, very close to the historic center of Cordoba and all the most relevant landmarks, very friendly and helpful staff. There is always a “but” ; it’s a 4starts hotel but in reality it more of a “high 3*”. Either the 4* are not longer what they used to be or the 3* are quite bad these days. Elaborating on this; the room was nice (not too elaborated but cute enough, nice tv, very nice and wide bed) and the bathroom was spacious but when u flushed the toilet it sounded like the wall was coming down; the shower made a pool outside so we had to be careful on getting out of it; there were signs here and there of the room starting to get to that run down point (could see a little mould here and there on the walls). We found one of those garden bugs in the bed but didn’t make a fuss about it; we simply assumed that it was one of the downsides of staying in a hotel with so much water and plants all over the place (which we thought it was very very nice) but in a way showed a certain lack of care when doing the rooms.
I know this review might sound a bit harsh and it’s not meant like that; we would definitively recommend the hotel, its just that 4* sounds a bit generous to me. I guess when the turnover is high it gets more difficult to keep a hotel at top level.

Room Tip: Our room was in one of the most external patios which helped because we didnt have neighbour rooms...

This hotel is a real gem. It is located within the walls of the Old Jewish area which is one of the main tourist attractions of Cordoba. It is only a short walk to the Mezquita also. Without exception, the staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent and the whole feel of the place was lovely. Our room was really nice with plenty of space and a great bathroom. My only negative comment would be the noise! We were right on the courtyard and it was quite noisy in the early morning with a trolley full of linen wheeled across the cobbles. Perhaps a room up higher or not right on the courtyard would be better. On the whole, we loved this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room up higher and away from the courtyard as it is noisy in the morning.

Loved this hotel - location, sitting rooms, courtyards. Unlike the Casas de la Juderia in Seville, this was a much newer feeling renovation and very nice rooms. We had a delicious and very convivial dinner in the hotel restaurant as we'd arrived on a Sunday night and much was closed. Highly recommend. Location was right in the heart of things.

We had a great room at the front of the hotel facing the Alcazar. The property is old and charming but sufficient modern conveniences. Big problem for us on tat side of the building was the noise. All the dumpsters for the Old town bars and restaurants are on the small street outside the hotel, and the amount of banging and garbage trucks till very late at night are a huge deterrent to a good night's sleep.
The buffet breakfast was expensive but OK.
The location s great, only 4-5 minutes walk to the Mezquita and the same distance to the riverside. Get a room away from the main street and you could easily love this hotel.

Room Tip: Away from street (alcazar) side for sure.

We stayed in Las Casas de la Juderia 1 - 4 March 2012 and would wholeheartedly recommend it. It is in the old part of town and close to all the main sights (walking distance). The area is also full of bar and restaurants. We had a twin room, not spacious but comfortable and a small, but excellent en suite bathroom with walk in shower, separately from the bathtub. The room was quiet, which was just wonderful, with window on one of the charming interior courtyards. We would stay there again. The hotel has a small swimming pool and seating outside but as it was very early in the season we were not tempted

Finding it by automobile was a adventure and we circled the old Cordoba several times because even with the GPS the closed streets and the narrow ones stoped us. And it was necessary start again.
But to walk arrond the monuments, the Mezquita must of all, it is fantastic.
