“Worth a visit”
Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

One of the few bars around the Mezquita where you get something special (giant tortilla de patata) without getting ripped off.

The tortilla is nice and unique due to its enormous size, but I like more the traditional sized ones in a regular basis.

“Hole Huevos!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

A hole in the wall place across from the Cathedral, Bar Santos is home to the biggest tortillas I have ever seen.

Ten inches high and filled with flavour, if you are in the area, grab a slab.

“Tortilla on a bike ride”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

We dropped by for a slice of the legendary tortilla, great value but for me, lacking in flavour and badly in need of some sea salt, spice and onions....nice if you like it basic and bland....

“a bar with a view”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

I stayed in the Maimonides hotel, near the Cordoba orthodox cathedral = mosque = catholic cathedral and asked the girl at the reception, what would be the best place for a tapa and a drink within 5 minutes walk. She indicated me Bar Santos at the other side of the cathedral.
This was indeed an EXCELLENT advice. Location of the bar is simply fantastic, tapas racy and handsome, and genuine Jerez 1 euro per glass (or was it 1.20?). In Cordoba, you are not going to detract too much time from the city itself, and this is a GREAT place for a quick snack.
Everyone else in this line speaks of paper plates and plastic forks. This was NOT my experience. I was there in January, they had normal tableware and cutlery, and I was the only non-local inside, apart from two couples from Barcelona.

“Tortillas, tortillas, tortillas!”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

It’s very cramped, the staff is stone-faced, but the tortillas are great and cheap. They cut you a slice from a huge tortilla, and it's eaten cold on a small plate with a plastic fork, and they’re quite filling. There are no seats – you eat standing up (preferably outside where there’s much more room). It’s great if you want a very quick meal.
