It was good value for money, but not as good as out meals elsewhere in Spain. They do a good version of gazpacho here and the daily stew was decent.

“Poor, many better restaurants”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2010

During a recent trip to Cordoba, we had lunch here as it was the top recommendation. I cannot understand why. Although the town was busy, we were the only people in there. The menu only had about 12 tapas on it (one or two of which weren't even available that day!) and the 4 we did choose were, at best, average. The fried calamari was rubbery.

There are many better restaurants to eat in.

“Good, but many better tapa taverns in Cordoba”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2009

The Pizarro Taberna lacks any attempt at atmosphere, hardly anyone was eating there the five days my husband and I attended a conference in Cordoba, and the food was at best average. There were many more excellent tabernas in the area. I ordered shrimp wrapped in pimento and my husband ordered fried cod and pisto, the French equivalent of vegetable stew. We would not choose this again due to the high calibre of others around. We did agree that it was inexpensive, but for a little more a person could do better.

“Best tapas we ate on our trip to Andalucia.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2009

We looked for this restaurant especially after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. The fried squid was delicious, plus fried aubergine and good gaspacho. It was very reasonablely priced too. Amazingly they had never heard of Tripadvisor so are completely unspoiled.

“Great food, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2009

We enjoyed excellent value tapas and beers at lunchtime before deciding to book an evening meal for our wedding anniversary. There was an excellent food and wine menu to choose from. We shared a revuelta for a starter before tucking into our mains of pork cheek with cinammon and hake in a salsa verde. We just about managed to find room for two yummy desserts. Reasonable value - €80 for two large gin and tonics, one starter, two main courses, two desserts, one bottle of Enate wine and two coffees.
