Modern hotel to the usual Marriott standard. The rooms were simple but comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient.

The location is also ideal. It is walkable from the train and bus stations, although with luggage a quick taxi ride is the better option. The Mezquita is walking distance as are restaurants, shops, banks etc. The restaurant/bar in the hotel is quite good as well. We had dinner there and the food and service were both good.

The only downside is that free WiFi is only available in the lobby area.

Our disappointing experience started upon check-in. Reception staff are indifferent and completely rude to their guests. Also, the wi-fi does not work in the room. I was willing to pay the steep $12/day fee to get online but I could never connect to the Telefonica network, which was slower than molasses. Had to check my email from the lobby, the only place in the hotel where the wi-fi was free, reasonably fast and worked, which is totally ridiculous for a supposed 5-star hotel. My other complaint has to do with the pool towels. You had to go down to reception and check out and return your towels and be willing to sign over your first-born if you did not return them. This was just annoying. Put the towels up by the pool, save your guests the trip and hassle. Lastly, we stayed in room 401 and there was a large round ottoman located outside of our room which smelled like awful body odor, made worse because it baked in the sun b the window every day. Why they left that there to rot and stink up the hallway we have no idea. On the plus side, the pool and the location are both great. But if you want a 5-star (or even 4-star) experience and a hotel that is friendly, caters to its guests with respect, and has thought through every detail, go somewhere else or you will just be annoyed as we were.

This hotel has very interesting building desing and the rooms are well equipped in a modern and "high-tech" style. But if they say "5 star" hotel, some details has to be improved. First, among the toilet ammenities I really miss box with tissues (you get only 4 of them in one small packet) as usual in other hotels. The WC door doesn't provide you full intimity as you would expect. The small gym has problem with air-conditioning - you can hardly find warmer air area in the hotel (!). After asking the desk staff nothing happened and nobody came to ask if it is better ... The roof pool is really nice, but why is it open only from 11 to 20? Especially on the summer sunny days one would like to refresh or take a sun in the morning and not during the hottest hours of the day. Breakfast nothing special - only self service, nobody asks you about your wishes. And the cherry tomatoes were really not clean.
But the location of the hotel is good.

Pictures and reality when you arrive make you a bit hesitant but as soon as you are inside the hotel you realised the amazing great design of the hotel.
Everything is practical and well done. Rooms great simple design and the rusty facade with the holes gives fabulous lighting effects. Swimmingpool is as well functional and userfriendly. For sure the best bet to stay comfirtably in Cordoba

This is one of the most interesting hotels I have visited lately. It has all the bases to make a perfect place to visit Cordoba but there are some mising details that should not be overseen in a 5* hotel in this price range.
Pros:
+ wonderful design
+ great bathroom with whirpool and 2 showers
+ comfortable bed and pillows
+ very kind and helpful employees
+ location

Cons:
- the WC door does not fully close and makes your visit to the toilet not so private as it should.
- there is no WC brush forcing you to leave a dirty toilet.
- the toilet ammenities (soap, shampoo...) are in a 3* hotel level. Few things and low quality products.
- no bar at the pool. You can order drinks using a telefone nearby and have theme taken from the bar downstairs at hefty prices.

Totally enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Hotel Cordoba Palacio. Modern hotel in great location. We stayed on the Executive floor (12th Fl) and the view of Cordoba was great. We had easy access to all of the sites we wanted to see and the staff was helpful. The roof pool was a great heat solver. Spent every afternoon.
Loved Cordoba and the hotel was an added benefit. Will be back.

Room Tip: Executive floor adds amentities

We stayed for 2 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having arrived by car in the afternoon there were a few parking spaces available in the Paseo de la Victoria just outside the hotel and we left the car there for the 3 days since the hotel is a walking distance to all of the old quarters. Thus the car park cost €3 given to a disabled person who pointed out the space and gave us a parking ticket for €1:30 - how do they do it? The hotel is top class, a real 5 star without being over "posh". Bar and rooftop pool excellent. Walking into the city was enjoyable and exciting. Lots of good and medium priced restaurants nearby - air conditioned or al fresco.
