Nice hotel in a good position close to old town & city centre. We were disappointed that the hotel did not have balconies the picture window view was totally obscured by metal screening. Tried the roof top terrace but again no views because of the screening. Nice clean, modern rooms with good facilities as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The restaurant was closed so we ate in the bar which meant large tv's, drinkers etc. food was average and not the 5 star quality we expected. Get rid of the metal architecture that surrounds all the windows!!! Awful....

If you approach this hotel from the train station the first thing you'll notice is the rusty facade, after which you'll walk past a graffiti stained wall to the entrance. The hotel is located along busy streets which generate a lot of street noise. The architect stupidly included two features for the rooms: floor to ceiling windows, which allow virtually all the noise in (I could even hear the beep-beep of the walk sign from an upper floor), and then the aforementioned rusty facade, a sort of swiss cheese metal covering that does nothing to reduce the noise, but everything to eliminate the view.
The room itself is fine, average size for what is supposed to be a 5 star European hotel, with separate areas for the shower, toilet, and sinks (which had no stopper). I had a king size bed, and the room also had a comfortable settee. They have a nice flat screen TV with absolutely no English channels. There is a free minibar (soda and beer) refilled daily, and, for a nice touch, a motion sensing light if you get up at night for the toilet. There is free wifi in the lobby, which worked well, but not in the room.
The location is good, an easy 15 minute walk from the train station, a 10 minute walk to the Mesquita, and 15 minutes to the city center.
Because of the noise, I would not stay here again; there was a Eurostars hotel located next to the Mesquita which looked good and I'd try that if I came back.

Too modern and overdone. Room was very small, impersonal, dark color and very noisy. The common parts of the hotel are nice and wide, but the room was not 5 star quality (although the hotel has not the price of other 5 stars either) The staff was unnice, not helpful. I am sure there are many nicer places to stay in the city.

Let me tell you about the "design hotel" feature afterwards.

So a two night stay in this hotel gave a good overall impression of the hotel.

First of all, don't be disgusted by the outside of the hotel, it is in my opinion ugly... a rusty metal facade, where traces of rust on windows and non metal parts are visible everywhere. I guess all tastes are in nature ;-)

One inside, it's a comfortable hotel (as usual, a 4 star rather than advertised 5 stars), a clean and welcoming lobby, and more or less friendly staff (barely anyone as usual speaking a word of anything else than spanish).
We got our room, but promptly asked for another one as it smelled like the toilet or shower evacuation pipes had some problems. I guess the problem was known as we immediately got another room.

The rooms are nice, clean, but have weird bathroom, with the showers (double showers here) and bath are separated from the room by a glass panel.

About the "design hotel" feature for the rooms: this means the above weird lack of privacy in the shower, as well as a closet to hang your clothes and holding the safe being a mere open metallic structure. i guess that means "design", but that more smells like cheap design to me ;-) But still not bad.
For the hotel as such, I already wrote about the outside. Inside it's a mix of grey and purple and other "modern" colours. up to anyone's feelings and personal taste. I'm not a fan. but many people like.

So yes a good hotel in a good location, with a "modern design touch". i just wonder how long before it really looks out of age and worn out.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was comfortable; we stayed in a junior suite, which seemed to us, to be more of a suite, because the sitting area was separated by a door from the bed/bathroom. There was complimentary mini-bar that had bottled and sparkling water, soda, and beer.
The king-sized bed was comfortable. The room was temperature-controlled. There were two sinks. The bathtub and two rainshowers were enclosed in one area (but I am not sure why there were two showers).
I read a review where someone noted having to go through the bathroom to get to the bed; that was not the case with this room. However, as others have noted, the bathroom has little privacy. This means that in the middle of the night, when someone uses the restroom, the lights show through the frosted glass and light up the entire bedroom.
We thought the bar area downstairs was comfortable and reasonably priced for wine.
The location is convenient for the historical sites, as others have noted. Also, the train station seemed to be in walking distance, but we took a taxi (about a five minute ride). There is a grocery store about 5-7 minutes away, walking.

Room Tip: The junior suite was not much more than the normal rooms when we booked ours. We liked the extra spa...

We stayed as a family over the Xmas break. As others say, very ugly exterior - looks like a derelict warehouse / factory waiting to be demolished. But once you are inside it is a very nice hotel. The room we stayed was very spacious & very modern. Loved it.

The bathroom had a jacuzzi & rainshower - that said, we have no idea why they have a fully transparent bathroom (believe me) - we had to take bath only after our daughter had gone to sleep. And this transparent bathroom faces the outside door - so dont answer the main door, if someone is taking bath. Maybe the rooms are good for couples or singles, not for families.

The location is amazing - just cross the road and we were in the historic centre. And that provides great access to those lovely restaurants & breakfast places - we didnt have breakfast at the hotel at all.

I would appeal to the hotel staff to smile and be more friendly. Very serious & unfriendly attitude. Was that because they had to work over the Xmas days ?

But, I would stay there if I am going back to Cordoba again - hope they do something about the exteriors and the funny bathroom walls. And the staff be more friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for the odd numbered rooms on the top floor - you get a good view of the Cathedral / old town.

We've stayed here two nights and chose it mostly based on the high Trip Advisor rating. It's an ok hotel. The rooms are clean and fairly well appointed. They seem meant to be trendy and it's a nice look, even if it's a little unweildy (you walk through the bathroom to get to the bed, not much privacy, etc.). The exterior of the hotel is as horrible as others have said. There are no services. No help with bags, no conceirge. Breakfast was chaotic. Lots of people and only three of those self service coffee machines. We waited about ten minutes the first time for coffee and about five or six when we went for a refill. They were out of a lot of stuff.... just wasn't what we expected. We opted to go out of the hotel for the second day breakfast, even though it was included. Only Spanish langugae channels on the tv, by the way. So, lots of little things that added up to a sort of so-so feeling about the place. I wouldn't stay here again. There seem to be a number of places that are as conveniently located. This should be a three star hotel.
