After staying for four days in boutique hotels elsewhere in Andalusia, it was a pleasure to stay in this sleek, modern hotel in Córdoba. Yet, the hotel is only a 2-minute wald from Córdoba's Jewish quarter, and close to the other sights. The rooms have an ultramodern design, with 2 separate shower heads in the bathroom, and modern art on the walls. The main downside of this hotel is the street noise, although oddly when we moved from a room on the 6th floor to a room on the 3rd floor (because of noisy neighbors), the 3rd floor room was quieter. Note to the management: if you have hand soap shaped like a golf ball, please supply soap dishes or else the golf ball rolls around on the sink counter.

This place was extremely luxuruious. Everything from the bed down to the bathrooms, and the free mini-bar.

Echoing other reviewers, this is a very stylish, modern hotel with 5 star amenities in a perfect location for a quick visit to the historical centre, priced very reasonably. The rooms are lovely and quiet, with fantastic wet rooms. The actual hotel itself is everything that I could ask for from a trendy, luxury pad bar the absences of the (ubiquitous elsewhere) room WIFI. Hence the amount of people in the lobby, using the free broadband located there. There is car parking for 17€ a day under the hotel, if you aren't lucky enough to get one of the rare free spots outside the hotel.

However, the reception staff were the biggest failing being at best reserved and at worst downright dismissive and rude. Having asked for the broken (free) mini-bar to repaired, the haughty male receptionist eventually response, however nothing was done at all - NOT 5 star service at all. In fact, apart from the lovely trainee (soon to have the cheeriness and helpfulness ground out of her) the reception staff were the least pleasant we encountered during a 5 hotel tour round Andalucia - the others being only measly 3 star places! I don't mind "clinical" service if it is efficient but this was neither.

Although we only stayed one night we felt the hotel offered excellent value for money. Centrally situated, it's a short walk to the historic part of Cordoba with lots of restaurants and tapas bars nearby. It's also easily walkable to other parts of the city and the centre of town. The rooms are modern and rather 'quirky' as other reviewers have suggested with a nice wet-room and the free mini-bar (although mostly non-alcoholic) was a welcome surprise. We would return.

The hotel is located within short walking distance to most tourist attractions within Cordoba. The "old town" starts across the street, and within 5-8 minutes you have walked to the Mezquita.

The rooms are clean, the bed does not feel like much first, but I have to say that I had a good nights sleep every night, and I am a little sensitive to the mattress quality in hotels.

The design of the bath is a little unusual, to say the least. You have a separate toilet / bidet, which is appreciated, and the shower and the bath tub are together behind a set of glass doors. Unusual is the fact that the shower is essentially in front of the bathtub, meaning your showering on the floor in front of the bathtub. After getting used to it it works great, but at first it took some convincing myself to use it. You actually have two showers, which makes it easy to shower at the same time. The bathtub has jets, nice addition. The large area which is the bathtub and shower together make it a bit difficult to "heat up" this area while showering, so it always remains a little fresh in there once you turn off the water.

The outside of the hotel is much critiqued, with its strange metal netting. We found that it was not a problem, and most likely will help with keeping the temperature down during extremely hot weather.

At the front desk it depends on who you find yourself talking to. There are a lot of very roundly people, but also some that made us feel very unwelcome, more like we as guests are disturbing them in their duty. Maybe that behavior is only overcoming their bad english, but I prefer some friendly person who does not speak english well over an unfriendly any day. The language at the front desk can be a challenge. We also managed to communicate what we want, but it sometimes takes a few attempts.

Even though this hotel seems to belong to the Marriott brand / cooperates with it (we booked it thru mariott.com), you are not collecting points or reward nights.

The breakfast was really nice. Lots of people, but did not seem crowded at all.

Price performs for this hotel for us was really good.

Very clean room, the free mini bar is good and includes two still water and two sparkling, lovely on a hot day returning from a long walk. Reception were very quick and helpful. The breakfast was very nice, plenty smoked salmon, cheeses, hams, eggs and pastries. This hotel is really just across the road from tne historical part of the city couldn't beat that at all a three minute walk. Smoke free hotel - great for non smokers.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel. What we liked most about this hotel are:
- convenient location
- great buffet breakfast
- awesome spa bath / showers
- very spacious modern room with lots of shelves for storage
- comfortable bed
- reasonably priced for a 4-5-star hotel
While we have no problem accessing internet at the Business Center or through our own device at the lobby floor, it'd be even better if we'd access it in our own room. I'd strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a hotel in Cordoba.
