We got a very nice welcome and very useful explanations in French. We have tried several local tapas like an excellent toro tail. There is a good choice of wine by glass with reasonable price (2 to 3 euros) for a nice quantity in the glass. We had the dinner outside in a nice atmosphere.

The tapas were tasty, we ordered the usual tapas, such as tortillas, for the 2 grandchildren, who are picky at times, normal for children. However, for every dish, they had done something , or added something to make the dishes more enticing. The pulpo was tender, the patatas Bravas was hot, shrimps were fresh. In short, highly recommended.
This restaurant is 5 minutes off the centre of the cathedrale, the surrounding places to eat are for tourists, this is not difficult to find, but one needs a map.
The dining room is very pleasant, nicely decorated. The service was excellent.

Fried aubergine with cane syrup... Yum. Baked kid leg. Yum. Kid with garlic sauce. Yum. (Bony... My fault for not asking, a preference on my part). Sides served with meal were a bit too heavy to go with the meat, so while they too were well executed they were not a great match for the meat.

But on the whole a really good meal with excellent service in a lovely setting.

We were on holiday in Spain end of May and looking at our holiday pictures we discussed which was the best restaurant we had eaten.
It became El Choto, we have had both lunch and dinner and they are the top. We enjoyed different plates and especially the roasted vegetables were our favourite.
Also the red house wine is remarkably good.
The ambience is very nice special the cosy small terrace underneath the trees.
The service is very friendly and we recommend this restaurant to everybody.
