Delicious tapas especially eggplants. Services were excellent and thoughtful. Waiter explained the respective dishes patiently to us and even recommended specialities. This restaurant is a must-try if you're in Córdoba!

Great place to have "Choto al ajillo" or spring lamb and "Rabo de toro" or Ox tail, there are both traditional Andalucian dishes, and Cordoba is well known to have some of the best quality ox tail in Spain. We had the sample menu for two and the portions were very generous, there was enough food for 3 people. The Aubergine with honey is the best we ever had, so delicious!
Oh, and don't forget to try their Sangria it is simply exquisite, but be careful there is plenty of alcohol in it...
To summarise, exquisite food, great service and nice presentation! Bon appetite!

The service makes the difference in this restaurant, extremely warm and helpful waiters with reasonably priced but great food. The tapas portions were quite generous also!! Highly recommended.

We dropped in here between 8.30 and 9.00 (early for Spain) after a long haul around the local festival of Patios (courtyards) and ate outside in delightful weather. Service was very friendly and attentive. My wife had the baked cod and I tackled their specialty of baked kid goat. Both meals were very good. We took their recommendation on a red wine from Granada (19 Euros) and it was great. Total cost 63 Euros, including bread (always extra in Spain), mineral water and really good coffee. I seldom give anywhere 5 out of 5 but in this case I can't think of anything they could have done better. And only a short walk back to the mezquita.

The place is named for its most famous item on the menu; kid goat. I’m sorry to put of the squeamish but it really is a special thing to find young goat rather than just goat. It’s the same difference as spring lamb and mutton. And it was terrific. Of Course they have a lot of other selections. There is a lot grilled meat and fish. But my favorite here was the Spanish staple deep-fried eggplant. I have an aversion to eggplant since it usually absorbs so much oil. Turkey used to have the best eggplant that didn’t make me nauseous. But now it’s Spain and the Restaurante el Choto. very light batter. The presentation is terrific too! The interior is European formal and stuffy, but there is a sweet little patio in front. It’s surrounded by a low wall and decorative iron work and some big old trees. It’s like eating in what of those beautiful ‘patios’ that Cordova is famous for. The olives were particularly good here. Service was excellent until we wanted our bill but they always expect you to linger in Europe. In fact, the service was especially cheerful here. Our waiter didn’t speak fluent English but there were only few moments of confusion.
