This good restaurant is not for the pampered tourist. I do not mean that all customers are not warmly embraced and they do have a copy of the menu in English - it is that this is the real deal. A local restaurant catering for local customers and if you eat here you will enjoy a real taste of Spain, in the most literal sense. We tried only three dishes and really enjoyed two, a salad of roasted peppers mixed with some interesting ingredients and a fantastic plate of fried aubergines in honey. The third dish of albondigas with mushrooms was certainly okay but not a stand out. The room was full of locals and there seemed to be an emphasis on fried food being delivered to the tables. The wine list was excellent, wide ranging a very acceptably priced. The service was excellent and very understanding of our nearly non existent Spanish skills. We would certainly visit La Cazuela again and explore the vast menu further.
