“Be brave and try this place.”
Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

This good restaurant is not for the pampered tourist. I do not mean that all customers are not warmly embraced and they do have a copy of the menu in English - it is that this is the real deal. A local restaurant catering for local customers and if you eat here you will enjoy a real taste of Spain, in the most literal sense. We tried only three dishes and really enjoyed two, a salad of roasted peppers mixed with some interesting ingredients and a fantastic plate of fried aubergines in honey. The third dish of albondigas with mushrooms was certainly okay but not a stand out. The room was full of locals and there seemed to be an emphasis on fried food being delivered to the tables. The wine list was excellent, wide ranging a very acceptably priced. The service was excellent and very understanding of our nearly non existent Spanish skills. We would certainly visit La Cazuela again and explore the vast menu further.

“Again & Again......”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

We return to this restaurant this year & we were not disapointed. The service was brillant, the welcoming exceptionnal. They remind us & we were treated like a VIP."Pepe" the owner was there and the staff was the same....it is a good sign for us.
Concerning the food I will recomend La Cazuela for el rabo de toro, el salmorejo, and also the shrimps but my favorite is the calamari just grilled with a very good local olive oïl & garlic.
Do not hesitate have a look on the wine list they have the great Rioja & Ribera del duero.
The prices are extremely reasonable & all the food is a truly & authentic Spanish & Cordobese recipes. It is why, I think, you will meet a lot of locals. Definently it is not a tourist trap.
They make an excellent job........We will probably go back next year.

“Traditional dining”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

This is a very traditional restaurant well patronized by locals. We had the house salad, fried aubergines with honey and chicken breast (deep fried in breadcrumbs). The food all good and although mainly deep fried options available, it was quite light although portions are large. Prices reasonable although service a little brusk. One downside – we asked to pay in Euros on credit card which they ignored and we ended up with a poor conversion rate in sterling.

“A great local gem.”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

This place looks small from the outside but a lot of seating on two different levels. Mainly frequented by locals, food and service were excellent. We found everything in this place better than highly rated Selinas nearby which had mainly tourists. Try there fried Gambas!

Great atmosphere and very busy. Despite the number of customers the staff were very fast & efficient. Tapas were good value and drink prices average.
