We went there twice. So it is simple the owner and cook is " PEPE" choose nothing in the menu let him do!!!!
The staff was very friendly, the service quick and great, the prices very reasonnable.
Final recommandation: do not arrive early best time for dinner 10:00pm.
Try the salmonejo homemade and probably one of the best in Cordoba.

We stumbled across this restaurant and were not disappointed. We were seated upstairs in one of a series of a sort of private dining rooms with 5 tables themed on bull fighting (lots of photos and antique bits & pieces). Downstairs was more open and very busy. We ordered a selection of 2 medias and a bigger portion of sliced beef. Delicious! Unfortunately I can't remember the names of the dishes but one was potato/tuna/onions/cream the other aubergine fritters with cane honey. That was plenty for 2 people. The wine choice was good and we were given a complimentary sweet wine at the end because oddly they have no coffee machine! We discovered from our Cordoban hosts that this restaurant is very popular among locals. We'd definitely go again - we're still talking about the food!!

A local (thanks, Miguel!) advised us to go to this place for a tapas lunch downstairs rather than to the more expensive restaurant upstairs. To manage this, you have to be there early, say 13.30-14.00 hours. We particularly liked the salmorejo.
