We drove past the hotel on the first try, but we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and nice, the staff helpful. Well located, we would stay here again.

The staff recommended a great tapas restaurant that is reputed to be the oldest in the city.

Parking, while available, is a challenge to find, be sure to ask the staff to go with you--they will.

Parking at the hotel is not easy even with GPS, so we stopped our car at a convenient spot and walked to the hotel, who sent a pleasant young man with us to park the car in their very nearby parking, but with a convoluted approach. Our upgraded room was excellent considering the price, spotlessly clean carpets and tiled bathroom floors, good shower even though the bathtub is not fully enclosed. Comfortable beds and good sleep quality. The buffet breakfast at their restaurant was good, with several meats, cheese and plenty of fruits, juices and coffee.

Perfectly located hotel for ruby in Almeria. Staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was nice for a continental. Rooms ok size. Think you pay for the modern bathroom mainly. Would ruby here again. Take the parking option if taking the car.

But then the price should have given that away. Staff ok. Room ok. Bathroom nice decor but strange smell from vent. Noisy plumbing from other rooms. Corridor noise quite bad, but that was due to a big Spanish wedding. Worse thing about it was the breakfast/dinning room is in another building (turn right out of hotel, across the lane and in to Hotel Torreluz, then go down stairs in to a cafe bar and left into breakfast room). By the way no instructions in room about how to get to dinning room, staff didn't tell us either when we checked in! Not very disable friendly, although there is a wheelchair lift into the dinning room at the other/front entrance. Hotel situated fairly central for restaurants and tapas bars. Parking is a nightmare. We used the underground car park just south of the hotel, with very tight spaces, traffic light controlled flow and cost approx. €20 a day. Glad it was only a two day visit.

Great central location, therefore very hard to find a parking space..The hotel is very clean. It is also carpeted so your feet do not freeze when you walk about. The carpet also dulls any noise echo which is a major problem in Spanish hotels..Modern TV with BBC and US financial channels..Reception staff were all very helpful and all spoke a little English..The internet is in every room rather than in the foyer only. However it is rather poor with the connection dropping around 30% of the time and then picking up again.Sadly it had the old fashioned Spanish bedding, namely sheets and a wool blanket and a bed cover, which is way too heavy and why they cannot use comfy but lightweight duvets is beyond me. Overall a very good hotel which meets the standards of north Europe

Room Tip: The two and 4 star versions are right next to each other.l travelled and stayed at both..Both had s...

I have stayed at this hotel on several occassion and have always found it to be very clean and well presented. The introduction of free WiFi is a great improvement and means that you can keep in contact with friend and family who may live in a different time zone. It is brilliantly located in the centre of the old city and handy for the areas historical attractions.

We included breakfast in our stay and this was also very good with the ability to order eggs done to your specification and a full english breakfast.

The staff are very friendly, however you should note that it is important to speak a little spanish.

We stayed here two nights and quite liked the hotel - a nice, clean room with great bathroom facilities (if oddly arranged), aircon and various mod-cons. Overall a good experience. Be aware, however, that when you book at Nuevo Torreluz you're booking at one of a number of hotels. The shiny foyer may not in fact be the hotel you're booking in, rather the older building outside.

Room Tip: Request a double bed, otherwise you may find yourselves with unplanned singles.
