Definitely my favourite hotel in Almeria. The location is difficult to beat: the most famous square of the city; the design is interesting: combines a modern style with the antique walls of the old building using local materials and the service is friendly and homey. You can hear the bells from the cathedral and the city hall from your balcony and see the Alcazaba from your bed; the spacious mini-suite or the library will allow you to relax in the hotel, feeling as an Almeriense; a dinner in their restaurant is a must. Improvement areas are the room service, which is very limited; and the spa that will disappoint you if you have experienced it in other parts of the world.

Just enjoyed a lovely visit to this modern hotel tucked away in one of Almeria's best squares. From arrival to departure the staff were very attentive and helpful, out room ( at the back but still very nice) was modern and had everything we needed. The rooftop terrace (only open at weekend) gave great views and lovely cocktails. Although we didn't get around to eating in the restaurant it looked very appealing. The Arab baths under the hotel are a must, and offer a relaxing, peaceful experience. Would definitely stay again!

This jewel of a hotel is a litle difficult to find and it's probably a good idea to give the route a go on google maps beforehand. However,it was worth all the effort. Our large suite overlooked the old square and included in the price was use of the spa. It was magical and even if you have to pay it is worth every penny. There are several pools of different sizes and temperatures and the entire area is lit only by candles. Each slot is for a two hour period and there were only two other couples.
We could not have imagined staying in there for the full two hours but it is so relaxing and beautiful that it was easy! There was also complimentary mint tea and water and massage.
The dining area did not look too wonderful but as we had already booked we decided to give it a try and were delighted that we did. The service was superb as was the freshly cooked food in fact it was some of the best we have eaten in Spain.Nothing was too much trouble for the young waiter who was very knowledgeable about both the food and the wine.
Almeria itself is mixed, with signs of poverty but it has some beautiful old Spanish buildings and squares and the town and this hotel are well woth a visit.

Room Tip: For a little extra go for the suite,it is worth it.

A very modern hotel set in an old building on the side of a plaza in the historical part of Almeria boasting a view of the Alcazaba on the hill. We had a junior suite overlooking the square and with an Alcazaba view. The bed was large and very comfortable. The suite price came with access to the hot Arabian type baths situated below the hotel and this is a great way to spend a couple of relaxing hours after a day’s sightseeing. We booked an extra massage at a small cost. Almeria is a cool place to visit as there are not many tourists. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly.

A very modern hotel set in an old building on the side of a plaza in the historical part of Almeria boasting a view of the Alcazaba on the hill. We had a junior suite overlooking the square and with an Alcazaba view. The outlook was very nice although the square is somewhat rundown. The suite was large, clean, with an open plan bathroom and a mix of modern and traditional fittings. While the overall look was great some of the ideas were probably better on paper as they were not that practical. While we like minimalist houses and rooms we felt that there could have been a few more items in the suite to make the stay a bit more comfortable e.g tea and coffee making, larger towels. A directory of services would also have been a help. The bed was large and very comfortable.
The suite price came with access to the hot Arabian type baths situated below the hotel and this is a great way to spend a couple of relaxing hours after a day’s sightseeing. You can also have a massage and treatments. While the baths are a must the hotel restaurant is a something to miss quite how it got to number two on Tripadvisor is a mystery to me and is the one area that has let the hotel down. The service was at best mediocre (which is a shame as the hotel staff are very helpful) and the food was poor. We did not go back a second time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Plaza as this should have a view of the Alcazaba.

We were there for the start of the festival and got to watch two concerts in the old square -one from the restaurant (which is fabulous) and the second from the roof whilst drinking fine wines and eating excellent tapas. What a treat! The Arabic baths were a perfect way to recover the next day. Staff and service were excellent and so was the room. The decor is a splendid mix of new and old as is the town. Well worth a visit and the hotel is up there with any boutique hotel we have visited around the world.

This is a hotel located on a square in Almeria. While we were at the hotel there was a free concert taking place on the square which added to the atmosphere.

The hotel is in a refurbished building and reflects the style of similar hotels where they have blended old with new.

Ambience in the hotel is definitely "chilled" and the rooms are comfortable and clean. One observation is that the sink is located outside the bathroom next to the bed and this isn't always too convenient.

The staff are friendly and helpful and have a good knowledge of the local area.

The restaurant is very good but make sure you book as it is popular.

I would highly recommend this hotel.
