My wife and I have begun to compare all hotels stays with IBIS. They're modern decor, slimline accomodations, and friendly staff makes this hotel chain our #1 choice! And I am curious if this particular IBIS was one of the first to open. While the room was slimline, the decor lacked somewhat and the shower had a touch of rust around the shower door and on tile; a sing of age. However, the room was clean and inviting, as was the front desk and breakfast areas. The breakfast was excellent, aside from not having scrambled eggs initially - but who can ever keep up with scrambled eggs?! They always seem to go first! Truthfully, I thought the price for the double was a tad high (at 84 Euro) and there was some confusion about getting our ACCOR discount, which we were told in the morning was too late because we had already booked the room (not what the night shift told us). But this won't sway us from looking for the IBIS chain elsewhere!

Typical IBIS, superb beds, quiet rooms (except other guests banging doors), friendly staff. Location in the old town, nice surroundings for an evening stroll. Parking at hotel entrance free until 9 am.

The hotel is comfortable and walking distance to everything you would want to see or eat.. beautiful church across the way which makes for a lovely view. The staff were helpful and parking is only 10 euros for underground covered parking. I would recommend this hotel highly.. the only reason i gave it not five stars is that i would like an ice machine being from Miami. If that is not a big thing for you.. book this hotel without a question!!

We liked this hotel because it appeared relatively new and clean, nicely arranged.
No cigarette smell (like in happens in Ibis hotels in France), comfortable bed. Bathroom was a little small though.
Good offer for breakfast (again much better than in Ibis hotels in France). We used a public parking in front of hotel because on Sunday it was free of charge (if I'm not mistaken, the hotel parking costs 12EUR/night).
I recommend this hotel for a stay in Erfurt downtown.

Plus:

Very good location in downtown, clean rooms, WiFi is excellent, breakfast is superb...

Minus:

There is a huge rumble of delivery in the morning, on the street, the rooms on the right side of the hotel, seen from the front door of the hotel.
