“Everything we'd hoped for.”

It didn't get off to the best of starts. As instructed I rang Richard on leaving the airport and he uttered those famous last words 'you can't get lost'! Oh yes you can, but only if you have a husband who decides to change the car's readout to miles instead of kms which rendered the detailed, & correct, directions useless. Fortunately Richard came to our rescue, found us and led us to the villa. And what a delight it was. The gates opened to a sparkling blue pool & plenty of space. On Richard's suggestion we left the cars on the road (it was very quiet when we were there) allowing a very open feel to the grounds.
The villa itself was very spacious & the third outside bathroom was a great bonus. Our family group comprised 6 adults & a baby (cot & highchair provided) spanning 3 generations & there was sufficient indoor & outdoor space to comfortably spread out or sit together. In fact there is so much ground floor space we didn't use the upper terraces other than to view the area. The pool was also a decent size & enjoyed by all, particularly as it warmed up during the second week!
The area was pretty quiet during the first half of June but there's an excellent local bakery (good wine selection too) & a couple of decent restaurants. It's also an easy drive to many wonderful towns.
Richard & Noirin were excellent hosts quickly responding to any questions or requests with the whole booking procedure being trouble free. The welcome hamper was probably the most extensive we've ever had.
All in all a very good base for a holiday in a lovely part of Italy.

We went as a family group of 3 couples and the villa suited us perfectly. There was plenty of space and each bedroom area felt very private. The pool area was great giving everyone a choice of sun or shade. The village beach was very close and other nearby beaches were easily reached by car (some also on foot). The local restaurant was excellent, although the full holiday season wasn't quite in full swing during our stay. All the facilities and equipment were in excellent condition and we had everything we needed. The barbecue worked well - we didn't get round to trying the pizza oven. The balconies and roof terrace are lovely if someone needs a bit of peace and quiet. The local bakery was great but you would definitely need a car to stock up from a bigger shop. It gave us a great base for our holiday and it was good knowing that the owners are on hand if needed.

“Exactly as described - Wonderful experience”

We spent three weeks in this Villa with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Villa del Sole was exactly as advertised, very well appointed and very clean. The owners went out of their way to help make our stay more enjoyable. The welcome basket was full of thoughtful foods and snacks. We took advantage of the offer to provide a winery tour (Great fun, if you take option #3 you won't want dinner) and a Pizza Night with the local Pizza Maestro (A wonderful young man who made it a fun time with delicious pizza). The hosts provide a guide book (our bible) that has been well thought out and full of useful information and ideas. The Villa is well situated for travel and a welcome respite after maneuvering the many roundabouts. This was a perfect choice for our vacation. If we find ourselves in Puglia again, it will be at Villa del Sole.

“Luxury 5 star villa in an excellent location”

We have just returned from an excellent holiday spent in the luxurious Villa del Sole. We stayed for one week with another couple and really enjoyed this villa. On arrival we were greeted by Richard and Noirin who made us feel very welcome, they went to every length to ensure we settled in, even providing a welcome basket containing all the essentials to get us started. The villa is everything as described on the website and more. Among the numerous facilities are the extra touches that make it feel very homely. We spent a number of days just relaxing by the pool and cooking on the BBQ and outdoor wood fired pizza oven, which I must say was one of the highlights of the villa. The Villa is in an excellent location, it is just a two minute walk to the beach and a short distance to nearby restaurants, Nonna Lisa is a must and the coupons provided in the welcome basket are also an added bonus. We hired a car and travelled to a number of areas nearby all of which were no more than a 20 minute drive, these included a water park, go kart track and the historical towns of Brindisi and Lecce. There is so much to do and see in this part of Puglia and this villa is the perfect location from which to do it. We hope to return again and would highly recommend Villa del Sole to all of our friends and family as you could not ask for anything more in a villa. Thanks again to Richard and Noirin for everything you've done to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

“Lovely villa in rustic area”

Villa Del Sole provided comfortable and comprehensively-equipped accommodation for our party of 6 adults and 2 young children. The secluded garden with its pool, barbecue, pizza and shower areas was a particular delight, whilst the three upper terraces (especially the roof terrace) were ideal spots for the adults to enjoy a morning coffee and an evening glass of wine!

We have rented many overseas properties before and the service provided by Richard and Noirin (the owners) was easily the best that we have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble, they were there to meet us on arrival and always just a phone call away.

Although the beach is only a short walk away, we stayed out-of-season (mid-May) so most of the local cafés and bars were shut, therefore car hire was essential. A car is preferable in any event as there are many glorious historic towns and beautiful beaches within an hour's drive.
