“Baltic seaside”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

Interesting seaside town, sandy beaches and ferry to islands. We got the train from Lubeck, once an hour 20 mins, €3. Many places to eat.

“Nice place for a day trip”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Its a nice place for a day trip on a sunny day offcourse. Baltic Sea is wonderful and the colorful shades make view very nice. There is not much to see , its the beach are and the light house...so a day trio is the best option...very nice restaurants near the beach ....

“Very nice town”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised. The promenade near the sea and the bay is very long and pleasant. The old town part is small but nice. There was a Jazz festival that day, and it was nice listening to the music, eating and drinking. A real pleasant experience to just relax and rest.

“Must Visit in North Germany”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

I had post business free time and took the train from Hamburg to Lubeck and Travemunde. This is a beautiful resort village, a feast for the eyes. The Baltic is wonderful and the river shops and restaurants offer a great diversion. I personally would not plan to stay more than a day, but for a day trip Travemunde offers a relaxing walkabout.

“Nice bath town part of Lübeck, visit the Passat”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

The main attraction of Travemünde are the Passat, a four mast sailing freightliner from 1911, and Germany's oldest light house. Both are at the mouth of the Trave river on opposite sides of the river.
