Slip into the complimentary bathrobe. Make yourself a cup of tea. Tune-in on klassik radio on the TV-set. Lay down on the sofa, and enjoy the magnificent views of the river and the middle age city. You can spend hours like this ...

Comfortable rooms. Stylish interior. Ideal location. Professional staff. Great breakfast. This five-star hotel truly is a most pleasant acquaintance. This was our fourth visit, and it won't be the last.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for river view to avoid getting a room above the parking area.

The hotel is on the opposite side of the river from the old town, and there is a bridge close to the hotel so it is an easy walk. It's also convenient for the train station which is less than 10 mins walk away.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The public areas are attractive, but not well laid out with wasted space. The rooms are a good size, simply furnished in a modern style and perfectly clean. Rooms on the river side have a great view. The room was very quiet and combined with a comfortable bed gave a good night's sleep. The breakfast buffet is excellent, good choice of quality food.

Room Tip: Get a river room for the view.

The Blu Senator Hotel is nicely located on the opposite side of the small canal surrounding the "old city". Great location as you can both be sightseeing in the ancient part of Lübeck while it is also a great base if you want to travel to some of the newer Lübeck attractions. the hotel itself is OK, but nothing extraordinary. Nice interior with a lounge area and various bars. The breakfast is also served in the ground floor restaurant but is quite expensive (19 euros) and the brunch was 25 euros.

We got a fairly nice room with some soft, but comfortable beds. The bathroom had a bathtub and that's always nice. The room was facing the canal and the old city. There was a bottle of water in the room, which normally means complimentary water when you reside in a 5 star hotel, but after a few quick phone calls to the reception in search for a Wi-fi password (they didn't pick up the phone the first time I called) the also informed me that the water wasn't complimentary?! Seems a little cheap, especially because the room wasn't. Another thing with the room... The window was also a fire escape and you were suppose to be able to unlock the window with a key located on a hook next to the window. The hook was there, but no key was to be found. Not OK!

We spend one night at the hotel but we couldn't access the restaurant because it was reserved for a wedding. Lucky for us, because then we had to find some place else and ended up having a great traditional German dinner at a small restaurant down by the canal. On our way back we tried one of the hotel bars called Kogge and it was really cosy, not too many people and very relaxed.

We also tried the pool area. No one was there besides us, and it was quite nice and again you had a great view of the canal while lying in the pool. Also a little boring though. A few jet nozzles in the pool or a small Jacuzzi would have been great. We enjoyed the two saunas.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Canal - Getting one of those makes it a much better experience!

Right from the time we booked by telephone,we experienced excellent service.Asked for a room overlooking the river and the old town, and we were delighted by what we saw! Room with big window, river Trave and the beautifully illuminated old town right outside.King size bed, good size bathroom, very quiet room.Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever tasted, with local and international specialties, staff very helpful.we had a 5year old child with us,found it very convenient to eat dinner at night at the hotel's restaurant "Kogge",good food, local beer, small children are free (and can draw while waiting for the food). We will definitely return to Luebeck to see more of this beautiful Hanseatic town, and we would never consider staying anywhere else but at the Radisson Blu Senator.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river Trave

The location of the Radisson is excellent, literally at the door of the old town and the whole city can easily be visited by foot from there. Rooms are pretty nice with good beds, and complete equipment, however definitely on the small side with very little space to move around once you have put two bags in them. Also, although the hotel looks like a 21st Century building, the extremely small bathrooms look like if they had been brought from the seventies, with worn tiles, and improbable plumbing. There is a pool and 2 saunas, although once again they are both very small and the rest area is only for 3 (!) people. The bar on the river is quite pleasant. Front staff was nice and efficient. Alltogether this is certainly a convenient and rather pleasant place that we could recommend but, as often, the 5 stars rating of this hotel is certainly not deserved.

This is my second stay in Lübeck and the second in this hotel. Every time a wonderful experience. The rooms are great, the hotel is beautiful inside. There are the most beautiful views of the city at night. I enjoyed the breakfast as well as the swimming pool. Great value for money

Hotel situated on the water with views over the historic church spires. Very comfortable, excellent service and one of the best buffet breakfasts we've ever had. Lubeck is a wonderful town to explore. It snowed and the town was filled with Christmas markets, a memorable visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view over the churches.
