The Appartementhaus Beckergrube is managed by the team of the nearby KO15 hotel and offers clean, spacious and comfortable apartments with free Wi-Fi within easy reach of restaurants, museums and shopping.

This place is for people who value location above all: it's in the center, near the river and old-town streets. For that, it's perfect. Also it would be good if you need a kitchen and sitting room at a lower-end hotel rate. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Not clearly signposted. No lift (dragged suitcases up 4 flights of stairs). No parking although the public lot is not far. Breakfast is at KO50 Hotel (or something like that) which is about 15 minutes walk. BUT yes, there's alot of space here and lots of beds (9 I think). A supermarket is just up the road, and there are lots of restaurants, including some good ones, all around the immediate vicinity. Lübeck itself is really Worth a visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower floor so fewer stairs to climb!

Pros: location and prompt staff when we requested more blankets because it was so cold in the room

Cons: single pane windows means a very noisy cold apartment. We could hear conversations on the street all night long. Also the blinds did not work so the light came in very early making it difficult to sleep.

There is no toilet paper, soap or shampoo. Which is a problem when you arrive and have no idea where to get toilet paper and stores are closed for the night.

There was no towels to dry dishes

The towels for bathing were very thin

The shower temperature vacillates between cold and scalding on its own and the drain kept backing up flooding the bathroom floor

The hallway outside apartment 9 was old and dirty (the main hallway was clean though)

You have to pay upfront in cash

No early check in
