Ok we were late arriving at 9:15pm however we booked at least four weeks before and received confirmation emails. Their telephone number on trip advisor is incorrect and so when we tried to call on the arrival day to warn of late arrival, it did not connect.

Their last minute confirmation email did say check-in time 15:00 - 20:00 but we did not get this as we were travelling.

Arrived to an empty reception, on calling the emergency number (after a guest let us in to get it) we were told 'tough luck' you forfeit your booking. Go out and find alternative accommodation.

While this may be a well appointed and pleasant hotel, be advised that if you are delayed for any reason, they will lock you out! If I wanted to stay at a youth hostel for that kind of treatment I would! Actually, that is unkind to hostels! they are much better than that!

Very nice hotel; this was our second stay. Efficient and helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable rooms, good shower. Convenient to Marienkirche, markt platz, Buddenbrookhaus, puppet museum, Shiffergesselschaft

Room Tip: Best views on top floor, facing Marienkirche. But, no lift!

Lübeck:
A litle gem really in the city centre of Lübeck. If you are looking for a centrally located, clean, private place to stay with basic but good quality rooms, and you have no problems with no lift or nightly open reception, and do not get bothered of church clocks during the day and night, this is the place for you.

We always met friendly and helpful staff. From by e-mail communication and check-in to breakfast and check-out.

Rooms are basic, but with what you need for a short stay. Bathroom is small, but modern and clean. Bed is firm and comfy. No AC, but opened windows got us fresh air even if summer and hot weather.

Breakfast was nice. Limited, but with the most you need and a little extra. Small portions, but the staff filled up quickly.

Easy to park your car nearby, but not free of charge.

I enjoyed my stay, and especially the non-busy athomsphere. I will come back if returning.

My husband and I arrived rather late (around 8:30pm) and the receptionist was still as eager to help as if we had arrived much earlier. The room was tidy, simple but relaxed, and the bathroom was modern and clean. And the beds were a nice quality and firm and supportive enough for my not-so-great back. :)

There was parking just across the street (really!) and the location was one street away from the no-traffic promenade shopping street, and very close to the neat old Ratskeller, where in delightful old setting, you can have a nice stein of beer and a delicious schnitzel.

We'll definitely stay here if we return again to Lübeck!

Clean and basic rooms with private bathroom. Staff are really friendly and helpful. One the night of arrival we could park on the property and next day by the church just opposite. Breakfast buffet was much better than expected with warm smoked salmon, salmon roulade, fresh fruit, tomato mozzarella and broad selection of cheese and toppings. We stayed for two nights. Overslept the 2nd night so only woke up at 10.30 when breakfast stop, but they kindly let us enjoy breakfast anyway with no rush. And no complaints with the later check out. Location is perfect in the center of Lübeck
