The atmosphere in this brewery is like walking into a movie. The beer and food are both very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the apfel strudel!

Used to eat here a lot 4 or 5 years ago when the place was mostly full of locals from the many businesses around the Alter Markt. Food was varied and excellent.

This time it was much more touristy with quite a few guests from the cruise ships. Menu is much less varied and the staff were not very friendly or even organised. Food was poor - my schnitzel was overcooked and dry.

Great in-house brewed beers at very reasonable price. The food was typically German with a good selection of meat dishes and seafood, and in typically generous German proportions.

The food is middle of the road. The beers and alcohols they make in house are quite good. Have a bunch of friends who want to go out for beer? Have a small keg brought to your table. The guys dressed as monks walking around selling shots just kills me. Be prepared to make new friends also. We almost always join the table next to us.
