I found QILIN almost by accident. I was looking for a good Restaurant on my first night, close to my InterCityHotel with outside dining so I could have a small cigar or two. QILIN was absolutely superb and a brilliant find. The menu is primarily Vietnamese with Indonesian and Japanese offerings. Megdeburg is not a great Tourist City so prices are reasonable. Many dishes were around 9.50e and more than I could eat. On my first night there was a specials board with fried fish, sautee potatoes and salad - superb. I also tried their beef or chicken curries with wild or brown rice - also chicken satay with Kimchi Salad. Favourit beer was Konig Ludwig Dunkelbier at 3.20e - a perfect accompaniment to excellent tasty food. My finale was always 2 espresso coffees with a Reiss Schnapps China - a heart warming 62% at 2.00e. Find it and love it. It is on Otto-v.-Guericke-Str.85c
