We hiked up the steps to this restaurant because we heard they served traditional Saxon food that is more authentic than the places we found in Dresden.
We ordered house light beer which was great. For lunch we had the Saxon potato soup (huge serving, free refill and only 6, 20) and the pork leg platter. The soup was wonderful, very hearty. I didn't manage to finish the bowl before filling up. The pork fell of the bone and the sides were large and filling. It was my husband's favorite meal of the trip and it cost less than what we ate at a tourist pub in Dresden.
