The restaurant is located in a courtyard which when combined with the dark furnishings made it a little dark (and cheerless until it started to fill-up - which it did). The food is classic and well cooked.

Our group dined there on a Sunday evening. It was pretty empty. Service was excellent but the poor waiter hardly spoke English but there do have English menus. Food was tasty. I had the blood sausage starter and a pork dish that had apples and currents and potato dumplings that was very good. The rest of my party are Germans and they were all pleased. Excellent beer selection. Wines were all German.

Had the roast pork with veggies and potato dumpling. Service quite slow, but food was very hot when arrived and cooked nicely. And a very large portion! Loved the Leipziger Lercher cake (pastry stuff with marzipan and cherry? filling, served with ice cream. A cool and less busy courtyard (overlooking a pretty building facade) when all of the rest of the outdoor cafes were much busier and I wanted to take a break from the crowds.

We kinda bumped into this little gem inside of one of the oldest courtyards in Leipzig.
It felt like you were visiting someone's home. The food was awesome. So good, that we returned in the morning for their breakfast, which was good value for about 8 Euros. You can even have champagne with your breakfast!
Warm and friendly service.
Definitely worth a visit!

I have eaten there twice in the last six months. Once with 4 guests and once with8 guests.
Excellent food both times and great German beer.
No problems and all the guests loved it. Portions are huge so be hungry.
