Café Maître’s dining room is an original, late, art-nouveau room, complete with spectacular stained-glass panels, carved doors, and ceiling rose. The tables are also very cute, with some art-nouveau ones and also some art-deco ones. It was a pleasure for me to be in such a beautiful room.

My wife and I had lunch there. The food was good, although not up to the standard of the room. The atmosphere was good; the place was busy—which is always a good sign. The service was friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable, perhaps a little on the expensive side. And the toilets were clean and neat.

We will be back.

Lovely staff, great location which includes outdoors too, you get a patisserie next to the cafe as well to stack up on the best sweets and cakes as well as french specialities in Leipzig!

This is a classy French-style brasserie which has a beautiful interior and long opening hours and friendly, efficient staff.
We came just after 8am for breakfast and it was already becoming busy. It is very popular both with locals and tourists alike. The locals sit out on the pavements day and night! You probably should book for lunch or dinner or if a large group.
The choice for breakfast is amazing, but you can simply have a croissant, jam, butter and a coffee for €6.80. They do lovely omelettes.
It is a bit pricey but we felt it was well worth it.
It is open from 8am until midnight Monday to Friday, and 9am until midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

Visited the place for breakfast. Good selections and delicious. Super coffee (at least the espresso). Cozy environment and quick service. Suggest to call and reserve since the place seems to be packed, usually weekends

I stopped by Cafe Maitre (the patisserie) for a quick cuppa coffee, and was really enticed by the selection of cakes. I pointed to what I thought was a lemon meringue, but I ended up eating a rhubarb meringue, which was quite tasty, too.

Both the coffee and cake were nice, but there was nothing mind-blowing about it.
