Great location! If you arrive by train, turn right and take the exit in that direction (same direction as the DB Lounge). As soon as you exit the station, look directly across the road and voila the hotel is right there. Couldn’t be more convenient. The walk to the main hub of Leipzig is 2 min. away with most attractions in a 10 min. radius.
Free breakfast and Internet were decent. The breakfast was small, but did have you cold meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereals, and your hot items of scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. My husband was delighted to find an English newspaper to read – USA Today!
Our room was on the top floor right beside and behind the elevators. You could hear the light hum of the elevators at night, but if you didn’t focus on it, it was fine. The room was larger than other ones we stayed in as it had a separate little sitting area, which was a nice change from other European hotels. There is a mini-bar and a safe as well as coffee and tea in your room. Pillows were flat, but you could get better pillows at the front desk. The bed was okay.
The sauna area was nice and relaxing though it’s in the basement where it is old looking when you get off the elevator. The hotel is a bit dated and could use new carpets, but otherwise it was fine for our stay. The computer center is hidden in a corner, but useful as you could print information you needed. Overall it was a nice relaxing stay! Staff was very helpful too.
