“The best hotel of the highest class, which we have visited!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2012

Aristocratic chic and luxury in a small wonderful hotel. Our balcony was out to the patio and the old church, separating one of the walls of our hotel. Here everything is full of soul.. the hallway, elevator, restaurant, lobby, etc.
Constant compliments from the staff in the form of a wonderful German chocolate - Mmmmm, it was so nice!
Bathroom is about 7 square meters, so it was a complete relaxation for us. The furniture is made of great materials and high quality wood, in the room we always found perfect purity, fruit in the room was fresh and served with a soul. The Spa complex is small but sufficient for such a cozy hotel, in the spa area there is a bar. Swimming pool is small, but you can properly relax in the hammam or regular saunas.
I could write millions of words of admiration, which deserves the hotel. But I just sincerely recommend you to stay in this hotel at least a couple of nights ... you will understand everything! This is the soulful story at the heart of a serious Leipzig.

We stayed three nights in order to run the Leipzig half marathon so wanted a hotel with a fitness centre and pool for warm up and relaxation. This hotel was much better than expected - right from the very friendly greeting at reception in fluent English. The room was large, comfortable and quietly located overlooking a side road. The ambience is classy without being uncomfortably stuffy. We were sorry we didn't manage to try the 1771 bar at the entrance to the hotel - this looked really nice but we were being good prior to the run. The pool area is lovely. The location is really convenient for walking into the old centre or into the smart Gohlis district where Schiller's house and the zoo are located. It's 10 minutes walk from the station on the same side of the road and I would strongly recommend using the train rather than taxis - it takes about 12 minutes and costs a fraction of the taxi fare. Highly recommended

Room Tip: The road outside the front is very busy so it might be worth asking for a quiet room

We don't usually stay in 5 stars now that we no longer have an expense account. But for 120 euro who could resist? Our room was charming located under the roof. I am sure at some time it was servant quarters. The bathroom was fairly small but had a separate toilet. Very comfy bed with lovely big soft pillows. As every other review has mentioned service was 5star throughout. Spa was nice it's in the basement and the pool is decorated to feel like a tropical swim hole, good sauna with ample showers. My only very small complaint is that there was no shampoo or lotion in the ladies shower room. I have been to many spas that have on the wall dispensers, in case one forgets to bring some. On the other hand there were nice goodies in the room, just had to remember to stuff the pockets of your large bathrobe (also provided) . And ditto to the complaints about the price of Internet.. 6 euro for an hour?!

Room Tip: If you want to leave a window open stay away from the side overlooking the street.very well soundpro...

I stayed there on business and luckily arranged a rate including breakfast and internet. Breakfast is worth paying for but charging for internet access is annoying. The restaurant and wine bar are great, both service and food.

The rooms can be small but generally very nice - comfortable, well appointed and heated floors in the bathroom (it was -20C when I was there so wonder flu to stand on heated marble). The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The gym and pool looked good but I didn't use them.

Staff were all very helpful, well trained, knowledgable - a real pleasure.

We (family of 4) stayed in this beautiful hotel for three nights. The rooms are relatively large and well appointed. The location is excellent for shopping, train station (5 min. walk) and restaurants.

The breakfast buffet was awesome - including the champange!

The pool, spa and sauna are the best we've experienced.

The staff are helpful and friendly.

The only negative is the cost and hassle for internet access.

Room Tip: We faced the main street - overlooking the city. Great view.

we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We chose a grand deluxe room as there was a special offer when booked through lithe hotel website which included breakfast.

the hotel feels like a boutique hotel. Incredibly elegant without being stuffy. Checkin was fast and our room was brilliant with a large balcony. Two was hand basins and separate bath (proper sized to relax in) and shower. The freebies in the bathroom were great and the hair dryer not bad.

Bed was very comfortable and tons of wardrobe space.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and all hot items are freshly cooked to order. All the normal juices plus a host of others! Staff throughout the hotel were so friendly.

We partly chose this hotel over others because of its swimming pool. And this proved to be a great choice. It was more like a luxurious spa area with staff on duty the whole time to make cocktails (none of this ridiculous health and safety of not serving alcohol around a pool)and coffee served in china cups with little petit fours. Pool was good temperature for swimming, my wimpy other half would have likedit a bit warmer.

We didn't eat in the hotel as we were there for a sporting event and ate out with other parents. If I returned to Leipzig I would look no further than this hotel. it was one of the nicest we have stayed in! One tiny tiny complaint was that when we entered our room I thought it smelt a bit of body odour. After a couple of nights we think this was actually the smell of a cleaning product they use - perhaps they should change.

Room Tip: Our room over looked a summer garden and was very peaceful

A perfect hotel for a splurgy romantic weekend in Leipzig. Especially if you want to be treated like a king.

If you are used to standard northern European Service, the Fürstenhof comes as a bit of a shock. From the beginning to the end everyone was nice, smiling and courteous--like American nice!

First class expereince from the moment we checked in and left.
Due to a huge construction project accross the street, we got a super deal on the room.

Get5ting there was no problem, walked ourtside of the station and turned right, the hotel was 5 minbutes walk.

The rooms was a bit small, burt everythign was in its proper place and we were missing nothing.

We used the spa one day and were impressed with the pool, sauna, and health offers. The pool is best visited in the evening when there are no children about.

One warning though--be sure that breakfast in included. It is a nice breakfast, but at €25 pp a bit steep.

Room Tip: until the construction project is finished, ask for a room NOT facing the street
