Overindulgence by the diner is OK but not by the chef. For me a great meal should take quality ingredients which are prepared and presented beautifully and sensitively. I had the 5 course dinner but after what seemed like dozens of amuse bouches I had indigestion before the main courses arrived. Bits of the meal were very good - the pigeon was excellent - but every plate was so elaborate and fussy that it detracted from the food. I thought this kind of nouvelle cuisine - tiny portions arranged as art - died out years ago! At €232 it was one of the most expensive meals I have had but was nowhere near the best. The service was pleasant, the view was good, the wine was OK. I would not go back.
