“Perfect treats, perfect atmosphere!”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Just steps from the Frauenkirche you'll find this lovely cafe filled with delicious delicacies served with a smile. The quality of the food here, and the selection, is top notch and you can't beat the ambiance! Enjoy a hot chocolate or coffee on a cold day with a slice of blueberry torte! Local tip - visit this cafe for "Kaffee und Kuchen" (coffee and cake) during the afternoon - a German tradition! Highly recommended!

“A pleasant surprise with an amazing view”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

The good: Well, if you lucky enough to get one of the rare hot summer nights try to get a table outside and you'll be rewarded with an astonishing view onto one of Dresden's famous landmarks, the Frauenkirche. Additionally to that you'll be seated within the baroque cour d'honnour of this beautiful palace which gives you that secluded feeling that other restaurants at the Neumarkt lack. The service was friendly and punctual, not too fast and not too slow with serving the delicious food, just the right timing to enjoy the meal and have a pleasant conversation. The menu is well organized with offering you a wide range of very good German and French dishes yet without getting you lost in too many choices. The cake and coffee selection will help you to finish a perfect evening, and try one of their local spirits along with your coffee! I had the black currant liqueur - excellent!

The bad: Not much to be honest - and judging from the amount of guests that had come throughout the evening the place must have a very good reputation.

The conclusion: If you're looking for fine dining with an incredible view this restaurant is definitely worth going for. And should the weather not be on your side to take a seat in their courtyard, from what I've seen the inside is rather charming as well.

“Touristic restaurant, moderate food. Employees outside don't like tourist (and there job)”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Rabbit was much too dry, salad comes with enough meat and potato blocks (surprisingly for a salad). Lady employees (inside) were friendly. Male employees outside only want to take quick orders and tips.

“Excellent dining”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Outside dining is in an enclosed courtyard situated off the square at the rear of the Frauenkirche. Lots of atmosphere, lovely food at reasonable prices and better than average service for Germany. Still fairly informal dining but half a step up from the average around the square.
