“I'll give it 3.5 Stars due to the good price”

We got a great deal on this hotel, and it was good value. Here are the drawbacks - you pay 6 euros for parking (9 if you want covered, but you can try the street as well for free) and 13 euros each for a buffet breakfast, which was good, not great. The tv is really old and small and has 6 or 7 channels, all but CNN are in German. The internet is an additional 6 euros per day (possibly cheaper if you pay for a few days at a time), kind of annoying. Now for the good news: - the hotel is clean and good looking, the room was big and the bathroom bigger, the shower was great. The beds are really soft, something you don't find too often in mid-range German hotels. We could have used another pillow or two, as the ones they have are soft like marshmallows.

So, great deal for a three star hotel, not good enough for a four star hotel.

Average style hotel but with convenient tram links into the centre of Dresden. There is an Italian restaurant on site where we enjoyed a meal. The breakfast was also good and the staff helpful. There seemed to be a car park but it seemed general to park on the road side.

Azimut Hotel Dresden was about average for what we paid. The rooms were pretty big by European standards and overall clean. The room was dusty though and there were several hairs left in the shower/bathroom. The shower was not very convenient as it was a high step up to get into, and the shower head pointed towards the narrowest part of the tub.

The hotel is far from downtown Dresden but the tram stop is 50m from the hotel and is direct to downtown. If breakfast was included in the price of the room it would have been a good deal. Next time we go to Dresden I will look for a hotel closer to the center but would not be against staying at Azimut again if the price was right.

Stayed here for one night with 2 friends as a stop on the way to Poland. The staff was friendly and check in was quick. Parking was a fee of 6 euro, but the lot was close and well lit. Our room had a double bed and a pull out sofa. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice shower. Noise level at night was a little loud between the street noise and hearing people in the room beside us. However, I'm a light sleeper and it didn't seem to bother my friends. The breakfast buffet in the morning was wonderful. Full German breakfast and the scrambled eggs were delicious. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the city.

After 20 hours of international travel, we arrived at the Azimut, only to be told that the pipes in the 2 rooms we had reserved (many months prior) were broken, and they were very sorry but couldn't accommodate us, as there were no other rooms available for us. The hotel clerk was apologetic, and had identified another hotel in the area, and arranged for us to stay there for the same rate as the Azimut booking. This unexpected development was disappointing, since the primary reason for us choosing the Azimut was so that we could be within walking distance of the family we were visiting. It was also frustrating to watch other people continue to check into their rooms, seemingly with no issue. The other hotel we ended up at was in fact lovely, so it all worked out, but needless to say it was a bit of a rude start to a trip which had been planned long in advance.

My husband and I spent two nights here before going on a bike tour along the Elbe. Let me start by saying, don't be put off by reports which say the hotel is too far out of town. It is in fact 6 Km from the centre but the tram stops about 100m from the hotel and in 20 minutes you are in Dresden centre. A day ticket for the tram is only 5 Euros so it's not exactly expensive. The hotel itself is by Dresden standards very reasonably priced. The standard is good, although when we were there it was very warm and with no air conditioning, was quite uncomfortable in the room. The breakfast (which we had included in the room rate) was also good. People who are quite light sleepers might find the hotel a bit noisy, as it it quite near to the main road. We had no problen with that. All in all, considering the room rates (we paid 116 Euros for two nights including breakfast) I think the hotel is ideal for a sight seeing holiday and have no reservations about staying here again.

We got a super deal in Hot wire, it's not a 4* as advertised but a 3* superior Very convenient if you are driving since it's a bit off the city. It has parking, comfy beds, clean and spacious rooms, old tv's and no much amenities. The breakfast it's very good for 9 Euro if you book in advance the night before or 13 Euro the same day.
