Owner description: This 394-foot mural along the wall in the Royal Mews courtyard depicts a parade of Saxony rulers, some walking, others on horseback. Scratched into stucco by the artist in 1876, the mural was later recast onto porcelain tiles and, incredibly, survived the 1945 bombing of Dresden that destroyed most buildings.

“Impressive”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

I really like the city center of Dresden having lots of monumental buildings. Walking through them, suddenly you see this wall with the impressive art on it. I don't have deep information about this royal family. It may mean more to the German or history lovers. But members are depicted nicely. Shouldn't be missed. It's on the way to River Elbe.

“800 years of history on the wall”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This tourist attraction is located in the very centre of the historical town, you can't miss it.
It is well restored. There is depicted 800 years of history of the Wetting dynasty (Saxony's ruling family) from the 12th to the early 120th century. You can see 35 noblemen there, accompanied by soldiers and other people.

“worth the walk if you know the history”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The fact that it is made out of Meissen porcelain tiles makes this a true work of art and detail. Also an easy walk from the Frauenkirche to the Schloss which houses the Green vault. Or take the bridge across (Augustus Brucke) into Neustadt and see the Golden Rider along the way.
