We have spent 2 nights at Hilton Dresden, the hotel is very well located, directly in the old town WOW (A breathtaking location). We booked an executive room with lounge access. The check-in was fast and very professional. Upon arrival there was no one to take our luggage off the car, so we did it ourselves (no big deal)
The room: The room are very clean and modern, the view we had was very nice. We had a problem with our door and fridge which Charis Glat at the reception took care quickly, I think Charis was the only one who makes you feels very good, a nice attitude, smile, I would say something you expect from a Hilton employee. On check out Charis did give us a bottle of wine for the inconvenient because the fridge as stop working again, we told us that it was ok but she replies this is not ok. Something you expect from a Hilton employee. Keep your excellent service Charis.
The lounge: Regarding the lounge, the choice of snack and drinks was excellent, but the service disappointed me, Their rule is, if you have to drink and eat it’s in the lounge, there was no cup to go or to bring a coffee into your room to relax, you had to ask every time and you can see they were not happy because as they say ‘’it is the rule’’. They kept hiding there cup to go all the time we were there. But they should change that rule. People are paying extra precisely for it. If you need to go early or do not have time to eat before departure people should be allowed to take a croissant, a juice or a coffee with them. So we had to go early for breakfast and hide a couple of bottle of water in my wife purse. (This is ridiculous). I call that customer service, particularly from Hilton you expect more because they usually understand business needs and people. I consider this hotel like a tourist hotel ‘’people come and go so don’t need to do more’’ They should provide free internet in the lounge or other sitting area of the hotel, when we called to get a code they told us that we had to pay to get internet access anywhere in the hotel. (No big deal again another way to make money before customer needs.)
The Hilton Restaurant: The restaurant is very good, and we found the price very reasonable (maybe to match with other restaurant close by) but I would say it is a good choice for diner plus you can enjoy having diner outside, it was so beautiful. The server was very professional and polite and the service was excellent.
Because of the hotel location, this is the place to stay, but if you do not need the lounge services do not spend your money paying extra. The area is surrounded with lot of excellent restaurant and café (enough that you will have problem deciding where to eat).
I hope they will modify these little simple things in the lounge and by the way adding hot chocolate in the coffee machine choices along with changing the rules and leaving some cup to go always available would be another big improvement. I will stay at this hotel again but without executive lounge services.

The hotel has also a very nice swimming pool and relaxation spa which we did not have time to use. maybe next time.

Do not worry about my opinion on the executive lounge services, if you are going to visit Dresden this is the place to stay. You will love the location. Weather you decide to pay for executive lounge service this is up to you to decide.

Booked here as I found a good rate on Hotwire. If I had paid rack rate I would have been sadly disappointed.

Hotel is centrally situated in old city with plenty of restaurants, old buildings and shopping close by. By European standards rooms were in fact quite spacious as I did not have to trip over my suitcase when getting into bed. There is just nothing to say that is exciting about this establishment and the basement parking cost almost as much as what I paid for the room ! A typical major chain brand trying to polish up an old building in the centre of town with typical 4/5* prices for drinks, breakfast etc.

My suggestion - find a good rate on the internet and sleep there. Tehre ar eplenty of better palces to drink and eat around town.

Very nice hotel was here during the floods garage was flooded and had to park across the street in a different garage because garage at hotel was flooded hotel A/C did not work good like most in Europe but hotel room was nice stayed 2 days.

The hotel is in an excellent location within throwing distance of the Frauenkirche and in the heart of the city. Close to restaurants, bars and attractions and short walk to the river.
My room on the executive floor was immaculate, it was incredibly clean and neat, everything was arranged beautifully including the iron cord!! Room was quiet and the bed very comfortable.
The housekeeping must be incredibly well run.
The buffet breakfast had such a huge variety, only disappointment being the bacon-I think it was American bacon but the sausage bites were a delight!
Super hotel, would gladly return.

There was a heatwave in Dresden when I was here for three days in June and so I was glad to be in this modern hotel with good A/C and all amenities. The Executive Lounge is one of Hilton's best. Concierge Steffen is legendary and wonderful. The room doors in this hotel are absolutely the best in the world. They are thick metal and soundproof - no corridor noise and they never bang closed. Why can't all five-star hotels have fabulous room doors like this. All the historic sights and museums and the river are just a couple of minutes walk away and outdoor cafes are all adjacent. This is one of the best historic-center hotels in the world.
