lovely hotel overlooking Dresdens river and historical centre, a short walk over the bridge and you are surrounded by fantastic buildings. Rooms are not large but smart and clean, bathroom again small but good towels and very large dressing gowns. Breakfast was very good with tables being cleared and reset very quickly. Didnt eat in the evening as menu not very extensive. Would have liked free wifi but all in all very good

This hotel was the best on a 3 city tour of Prague, Dresden and Berlin. Everyone in our group enjoyed the facilities, location, food and the professional and courteous manner of the staff.
We were delighted with the quality of food presented. In my experience a tour group comes off second best, but not on this occasion. The rooms were smaller than other hotels but this was no matter as they were clean, tidy and in good condition. A great location in lovely grounds so close to the delightful city of Dresden. .
Well done. We would return if staying in Dresden.

We had a suite at the Westin for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. Large bathroom in the master and a second smaller bathroom for the other bedroom. Wonderful welcome baskets each evening.

We had a room overlooking the river. Beautiful! The hotel is an easy walk to both shopping in the newer areas as well as the old town right over the bridge.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing and wonderful breakfast buffett. Many items on the buffett plus food cooked to order.

This was a delightful place to stay.

A beautiful hotel located across the Elbe River bridge to the old town, with easy access to bus tours or walking tours. The hotel was charming, very modern and room was very comfortable.
Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent with a wide assortment of items.
This is one of the nicer Westin Hotels by far.

Room Tip: A room with a view of the Elbe River would be a fantastic choice.

We stayed here the first night on our trip around this particular section of the former GDR. After a drive from the Berlin Tegel airport, when we arrived, we were a little concerned as there was another car parked in front of the main door with two gentlemen gathering together all of their luggage and then heading into the lobby. Normally when we drive up to a Westin (or similar hotel), a valet/doorman/staff member is there to assist with the luggage and guide one into the reception area. But no problems, we just gathered all of our belongings and headed off to the check-in desk. Check-in was quick, efficient, friendly and quite pleasant. At that time we were asked if we needed any assistance with our luggage. Future overnight stays in Leipzig, Weimar and Hannover were similar in not having "outside" personnel ready for arriving guests. Berlin was the one exception. Positives - (1) Hotel is in a great location - within a 10 minute pleasant walk over the bridge into the old city. (2) We were upgraded to a Suite due to platinum SPG status - thank you very much -- to a very nice, clean, spacious corner sitting room and bedroom (#427) with a fantastic view of the old city across the Elbe river (3) Very comfortable bed (4) very quiet and peaceful in our room (5) front desk staff very helpful, courteous and excellent grasp of English, especially Peggy (6) excellent dinner at Canaletto's (7) They will park your car - parking is 16 euros (one of the lowest rates that we were charged during on our trip for hotel parking) (8) Free Buffet breakfast was given as one of the welcoming "selection" choices for SPG platinum members. I really appreciated this, as the poor policy decision of many Westin properties is when platinum spg members select a free breakfast for their "recognition" choice upon check in, it is a only a continental breakfast. Apparently, in those hotels platinum members are not valued enough to receive the full breakfast buffet. Thank you Westin Hotel Bellevue! Negatives - (1) Poor A/C. Upon entry, room was a little stuffy and warm. Turned A/C on and dialed down to lowest temperature with max fan - but nothing much happened. Some air was coming out of the vent, but not much cooler than the room. I opened the windows (as far as possible) and eventually room temperature was OK. Dresden itself was a very pleasant surprise and the Hotel Bellevue is a place that we will strongly recommend to friends who may be traveling in this area. We may return to this area and would love to stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the river have greart views - especially the higher floors

We booked as we were passing this town. A pleasant surprise. A grand hotel in every way. Well located, just across the bridge to the old town. Breakfast is fantastic at reasonable price. We love to comeback here for more nights and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

We drove to the Westin and had some difficulties finding our way to the hotel, even though we knew we were close by. We stopped at the Swisshotel, which looks to be a wonderful hotel in a great location. They pointed the way. Parking was 16 Euro.

Our room was well appointed, with a comfy bed. It was very spacious, especially for European standards. The bathroom was great. Amenities were very good.

It's a short walk over the bridge to the old part of the city. Location was very convenient. It was freezing cold, but if flowers were in bloom, walking outside the hotel near the water would have been spectacular.

They recommended a brewery across the street for dinner which was good.

Breakfast was to die for. I couldn't get over all the choices. Home cooked omelettes, other egg choices, breads, cheeses, fruit, specialty teas, the list is endless. It was included in our room cost.

We went down to relax by the pool at night. The sauna was OK and the pool, while beautiful, was freezing cold. No way that you could get in the water. We thought a jacuzzi was next to the pool, but it turned out to be another freezing pool, for children. I don't know if the water is always cold, or if the heater was broken. There was no one to ask. To get to the pool, there is a separate elevator
