Stayed at the Westin in Dresden over the New Year, as twice before. Stayed in the beautiful presidential suite and adjoining junior suite, offering great space for 3 adults. The Suites are very nicely furnished with beautiful bathrooms, however, one would expect better products like Bulgari, Remede or similar rather then basic Westin products- never seen this in a top end suite, not even at Westin hotels. Service is friendly and efficient. NYE at Canaletto as always very enjoyable.

Room Tip: Would only choose rooms / suites in Heritage building. If none available stay at Taschenberg Palais...

huge hotel from the outside you don't really sense it until you walk to your room. Had a very nice large suite and was well worth the price. Excellent views across the river to the city. easy walk to all the sight seeing and shopping that Dresden has to offer.

Typical Westin type hotel, very well appointed, comfortable, spacious lobby and with quiet surroundings. Located by the banks of the River Elbe not far from the Neustadt commercial/retail area and within walking distance across the Augustus bridge to the old town and Dresden Castle.

The room was of acceptable size but found my bed to be just too hard. Service at the reception though pleasant was more aloof than personal.

This hotel was nice, but nothing spectacular for the price. Rooms are standard European rooms with small bathrooms and a small sitting/desk area. Very clean and the staff is nice. Breakfast is outrageously expensive at over 20 euro/day with nothing special to talk about. Only great part about the hotel was that it was within walking distance of Old Town--a ten minute walk over the bridge. Great views but disappointing hotel.

Nice hotel, very clean, great bartender in lobby bar. Room service food not very good, ordered burger and not sure what kind of beef (meat) they used. Hotel charged for everything, Internet, parking and concierge tickets to local attractions cost more than you could buy them at museum, green vault etc. Swimming pool was closed and no hotel transportation to and from local attractions had to walk in freezing cold and snow.

Dear Jimnix,

Thank you for your evaluation: We regret if you don’t like the room service. We use food from regional producers because we want to save the environment and want to support our region.
We had a cold winter this year in Dresden but you only have to walk 5 minutes along the bridge and can visit all attractions from Dresden or you can use the tram, which is located directly in front of our house.

If we will meet again, please ask us and we will tell you, on which ways you can discover the beauty of our city.

Warm greetings, the Westin Bellevue Dresden team

For a hotel with no stars the staff certainly thought they were 5 star. Unfortunately their service wasn't a patch on the furstenhof hotel in Leipzig which actually was 5 star. Our stay started off badly and only got worse. The restaurant was closed, the solarium was closed, wifi was 17 euro a day, breakfast not included, rooms not cleaned if out late, no nighttime bed turn down. All for the same price as a 5 star? Luckily our miserable experience did not dampen our experience of dresden itself which is a fascinating city and not to be missed. Just choose a nicer hotel.

Room Tip: Don't go there

Dear Kate C,

We do not want to be a "disappointing hotel". We deeply regret that we could not convince you. Of course we have evaluated your concerns internally and have taken corrective actions. That is really a pity that you won't com back - but we would be pleased to get a chance.
