Loved this place! one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food is extemely good, delicious seafood! the wine is great and the advice for wine pairing from the sommelier was very helpful and friendly without wanting to go too high on the price. One of my all-time best

The setting is very nice and upscale. The outdoor courtyard when weather is good is very nice. Easy walk from Hilton or Steigenberger for your guests.

Business dinner at Kastenmeiers restaurant and we have been delighted. Very good fish, top level service and very nice wine. Atmosphere is nice and sophisticated, tables are not too crowed and price are for sure ok for the high quality of this restaurant.

Kastenmeiers restaurant is in several large rooms and the courtyard on the ground floor of the beautifully restored Kurlaender Palais close to the Frauenkirche. We had a nice greeting from the maitre'd and from staff in the open plan kitchen. It was a quiet night and the waiters were attentive and friendly. Lobster soup followed by turbot with risotto and asparagus were excellent. Piccata of sole with spaghettini was rather overwhelmed by a parmesan batter coating the fish. (It wasn't described in the menu and it wouldn't have been my choice had I known - I peeled it away and the fish was perfect.)
The boss chef appeared to have plenty of time to spend with one particular group. It would have been nice had he been interested in the other diners.
The ladies room is up two floors (no lift) and quite remote.

Family of three on a Friday night with reservation. After some confusion about my reservation and some awkward standing around we were seated in one of their dining rooms. Very tastefully decorated, topped with great exposed brick the ambiance was a highlight. The wine menu is solid with competitive prices. Lots of choices on the menu. All the food was well prepared and of good quality. Highlight was the Scallops with chanterellesice and Auberginenconfit starter. Fantastic. Service was professional but a little awkward. Server was shy about her English and found it easiest to stay away and not use it. Shame. Overall we had a very nice meal in Dresden and you will not be disapointed with Kastenmeirers.
