On our 13 night tour of Germany and Czech Republic, we continue to talk about Villandry as the king culinary experience of them all (and much more reasonably priced than almost every restaurant of its caliber). Our only regret is not going several times while we were in Dresden.
I remember just smiling with every bite of my meal (carpaggio, lamb, and creme brulee). They know what they are doing at Villandry and we are very particular about our food. Not to mention, in our entire trip to CR and Germany, Villandry was the only restaurant where we did not feel like the service was slow compared to the standards we are used to in the US.
Food- phenomenal. Like REALLY I-don't-know-how-they-do-it phenomenal.
Price- for an appetizer, two entrees, drinks, and a split dessert we paid around 80 Euro. I would have easily paid double that amount for what they delivered.
Verdict: GO, GO, GO!!! Why haven't you called for reservations yet?!?!
