Description: Welcome to Ball-& Brauhaus Watzke Dresden. The Watzke is an event location with lots of charm, heartiness and a tradition of almost 120 years. Enjoy Dresden's very first unstrained locally hand-crafted beer right where it is brewed. You just decide where you want to enjoy it: in the beer garden with its Canaletto-view, in the rustic restaurant next to the wort kettles or at an event in the historic ballroom. Our historic building can accomodate any event. Smaller groups fit perfectly in our Elbzimmer with its wonderful view towards Dresden's old town. Gala evenings, dinners and company events up to 500 attendants can be hosted in the historic ballroom. Also concerts and performances happen here on a regular basis. Those who care for a closer look behind the scenes of our house-brewery should reserve a guided tour with our master brewer. The parking lot on our own premises fit up to 70 cars or 5 coaches and are free of charge for our guests. We are open everyday of the week from 11:00 till midnight and are looking forward to welcoming you.

Great local German food-pigs knuckle and bread dumplings, great beer, etc. Pretty views of the Elbe River. Only downside is that this restaurant is further away from Old Town, Inner New Town and Outer New Town. However, very accesible by public transit. I walked back to Old Town after my meal along the Elbe and really enjoyed the walk (or you could utilize the bike paths). 30-40 minute walk back to Old Town.

Well worth searching out, in between Altpieschen & Mickten Tram stops on Route 4 or 9. A stunning Building where the Beer is excellent and the food worthy of a top class Restaurant, try the Meat Sword, you'll go back for more.

Fantastic building, good beer, good traditional German food albeit a limit menu, the Brewery is in an old Ballroom, it is a huge Building. A tramride from the City centre but well worth the effort.

Second visit to this establishment, didn't think they could better the first but they did. Great service with a warm welcome and presentation of an English menu without request. Food superb, try the bread and dripping which is a great beer snack or starter. Only complaint (but it's not really a complaint) is that they could do better with the beer styles, on my visit there was a Pils, Landbier and Zwickl - no dark or wheat beers. Well worth the trip out from the centre of Dresden. Catch a number 4 or 6 tram to the Altpieschen stop and it's just around the corner.
