We had several eateries around our hotel, but went to this place twice in a row. They serve unforgettable pumpkin soup with ginger. Other food was more or less typical - mild fish (they call it pike perch), shnitzel, Saxon dumplings (they are very similar to Italian polenta, not Bavarian dumplings). Although the bar counter looks like a pub, it's a good place to try German white wine; house Riesling was great, not the sickly sweet water they sell as German wine in the USA. The restaurant was filled to capacity with both locals and tourists, very pleasant atmosphere. One of the best we had in Germany.
