“Under contruction”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

The café at the Wharf is being refurbished, but a few minutes walk away are 3 or 4 very good café/restaurants, with views of the river. I would recommend the 2-hour boat trip to (or from) Saarburg, if you do not wish to spend the whole day on the river.

“A Surprise overlooking the Moselle.”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

A quaint area of old houses restored ,( some being restored & others needing restoration) with terrace areas opposite for outdoor dining.Buildings date from the 18th century.Beautiful doors & portals. Venturing into a couple I had a glimpse of an old tavern with original timber flooring & timber bar area, Beautiful.
Well worth the lengthy walk following the Moselle till that path ends & streets take you to the Kaiser Wilhem Bridge. On the other side ,( not across the river) is Zurlaubener Ufer.

“Café's, restaurants, outdoor seating and a lot of stately houses”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

Located along the Moselle embankement, directly at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke. It is a former fishing village, whose houses (built circa 1800) were converted into cosy pubs and restaurants, the authentic character Zurlaubener Ufer has maintained to this day. Here is also the Jetty for canal boats (also to Cologne or Koblenz). There are beer gardens beer gardens with fantastic scenic view on the Moselle and opposite bank. The prices are of course also not expensive and touristy but for foreigners a walk on the beautiful shore is highly recommended.
