Veggies were cooked perfectly in chicken fricassee.
Kalbsleber was tender and seared perfectly. Portions were large great as a main meal. Service attentive and thoughtful. I see why it is well regarded. 2 people ½ bottle wine 2 meals, dessert and coffee 75€

Was here for dinner with a party of four. It's a good option for local food and beer. Has an ancient draft beer system where they let beer rest for a couple of minutes, it tastes great.
Good wine selection too with many wines from the region (mosel valley).
Service is good and restaurant has a classic ambience.
I recommend to try the potato pancakes with apple pure as a starter and cassis sorbet as dessert. Price range around 40 eur per person for a 2 course meal with good wine and beer.

We enjoyed the food and the service. But the service was friendly but slow. Maybe using to much time on the customers ?
But we will recommend the restaurant. The food was delicious! Mostly meat in all sorts but also a few vegetarian and fish dishes..

We visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening and it was very busy. We had reserved a table, although there were still some tables available in this very large restaurant.

The restaurant is very attractive, and we chose to sit outside as it was a nice evening. The food was excellent. We only had a main course, as initially we had intended to have a main and a dessert, but the mains were so filling that we could only face coffee afterwards. We tried the fillet of beef and the Turbot, both of which were extremely good. The beef was good, although I have had better, but the combination of the beef with the mushrooms and a superb sauce was excellent. The vegetables were beautifully cooked and a good combination.

The only negative was the service. Whether they were overwhelmed by a lot of people arriving at the same time, I do not know, but it was slow. We waited quite some time just to order drinks, it was over an hour before we got our food, and the wine came a third of the way through eating the main course and only then because we had chased it. The waiter seemed very rushed until the end of our meal, when he seemed a little more relaxed.

A good place to eat in the middle of the delightful old town of Trier.

We enjoyed a hearty German lunch at this lively brasserie, sitting on their comfortable terrace. Service was very friendly and helpful and the food was freshly cooked, tasty and elegantly served. Prices are reasonable and the flexible non-stop service means that you can enjoy anything from a coffee to a full lunch or dinner. Well worth a visit in this pleasant, interesting city.
