Unfriendly staff, rooms and dining area needs updating. We didn't enjoy our stay as we weren't made to feel welcome and did not understand this as its a family run hotel. We waited 45 mins to have our order or drinks delivered for dinner. We had to get in car and go somewhere else, we didn't even attempt to eat or drink in the hotel after that. Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel, That they produced a superb three course meal for 22 with an already fully booked dining room, says it all. Great value for money with friendly service. Good rooms with river views.

Nice view on the Rhein from the terrace
Breakfast with plenty of high quality bread, meat ..
High quality dinner with very good wines
You can take a boat to go to the other side of the river and visit the city which is very interested (it takes only a few minutes)
You can also take a train go 60 km further and then come back with the bicycle , following the Rhein; the landscape is Wonderfull and the ways rather easy.

Nice hotel on the Rhine. Great view from the hotel room of the Rhine. Only one downer the noise of trains at night but otherwise lovely hotel and food was excellent. Nice walk along the Rhine well worth it. No hot drink facilities in room but well stocked drinks fridge!

Only stayed one night but this was a really good experience. Lovely hotel right on the banks of the Rhine very good set menu for our coach party, breakfast the following morning was excellent with a really good selection of food and drink
We walked by the Rhine after dinner which is found by taking the lift to the basement, if you walk straight out of the doors you are by the river. We then retired to the bar which has a balcony looking across the Rhine.

Like other reviews say ..the hotel is dated but we chose a more expensive balcony room which had a lovely view and although the room was past its sell by date and basic it was big. The river view was what we wanted and that is whal we got. Breakfast was good and parking was free. The hotel is on the other side of the river from Koblenz so you have to walk for 30 mins to get into town. Trains trundle by at the back of the hotel which caused the bed to oscillate but it wasn't too bad and ear plugs are provide should you need them. We didn't and we had a good night's sleep. There is plenty to do close by and we filled our 2 day stay without getting bored.
