We took our family on a cable car ride across the Rhine to this fortress. Kids were 7,5 and 3 and it was a very hot day. The cable car ride was very cool. Once you got to the fortress, it was a bit of a walk to get to where you can see a view, which is kind of all this had to offer for us. Things were written in German so it was hard to determine what we were looking at. It's a great view and picture opportunity of the Deutshe Eck (where the rivers meet). There's a small playground which you can get to walking along the view area. But with little kids, and so much walking without a lot of payoff, our time would have been better spent checking out other castles and such. But if you don't have kids in tow, probably worth it for the view.
