We have spent 4 nights in the hotel, very professional standard to usual German efficiency. even providing a bowl and blanket for the dog to stay in the room. The room had a 2m by 2m bed (2 matresses saggy! and 2 single duvets) European norm. all clean etc. mini bar, but no kettle to make hot drinks or sort out babies bottles. The nuts from the mini bar had been opened but not replaced and several other items were missing, however we didn't find the list till the second day. The tv system only has 3 english speaking channels which wasn't so good, one being bbc world which repeats every 2 hours an seems to be more about the middle east than anything else, the other channel is German sky movies that plays in original language, this seemed great, however it had no picture and despite complaining about it several times they just said it never works! When house keeping tidied the room on the first day they replaced hand towels with floor towels, and took away a glass. This is being generally picky but it is a 4 star hotel after all. Finally on the poor stuff was the €27 steak! it sounded great but it was very basic, literally a steak and a baked potato, potato was rock solid, and the steak, although a good cut of meat it had no panache! not worth the money. The "Free" WIFI is not free however you can get a LAN cable from reception and this is very quick. Room aircon works only when the windows are closed, which is normal however even in september the room is swealtering and the aircon nigh on useless. On the good side, room service is prompt, the hotel is very clean, its close to town and rooms are insulated from noise. parking is good and well lit. Breakfast is excellent with hot, cold, everything for everybody of all tastes. All in not bad but it doesn't quite hit the money for me as a 4 star hotel.

Room Tip: rooms to the rear seem to be quieter.

Stayed here in Mar 2012 for brothers medal cermony as he's based in Paderborn.

Welcome hotel was very nice, clean rooms and breakfast worth paying for (I thnk about 15 euro). It is possible to walk to Paderborn centre from the hotel (about 15-20 mins).

The bar was nice, only downside was it opened relatively late even on weekends.

Perfect for business or leisure. Good breakfast, air con in rooms and helpful staff. Reasonable restaurant but prices are a little inflated with beer at 5 Euros and steak at 27. I advise go into town where there are a number of fantastic places to eat. free wifi is good but cable network better - ask at reception for a cable.

Room Tip: Help yourself to free Magnum ice creams at the fridge close to the kitchen entrance!

I booked at the hotel as I had stayed before. We booked a Superior room and specified late arrival. We did this directly with the hotel. I called to say we would be arriving very late, around midnight. We arrived in the pouring rain. There was lots of partying going on in the bar. The receptionist told us they had a big conference on am some people wanted to stay in the hotel and so they would find us another hotel. I was aghast that my confirmed confirmation would be ignored. He said there was nothing he could do as he had been told to do this by the manager. It just got worse. They found us a room at The Airport Hotel, Paderborn, no where near the centre of town where we had booked. Shall I order you a taxi? The receptionist asked. After some argument they agreed to pay the Eur 35 fare to the "close" hotel. There we had a small room with three beds in it. It was not anything like the room we had booked. They just did not care about us. I have had no apology despite a message asking for an explanation from the manager. No reply. BEWARE this hotel is very likely to kick you out if someone they prefer turns up. Their confirmed bookings are worthless.

Went for a christening and the hotel was roughly 10-15 mins walk from the town centre. The hotel was very clean and the receptionist was very freindly and helpful. The only bad thing was in the room there was no tea or coffee facilities which didn't go down well with my mother. According to the receptionist you have to pay more for a room with these facilities so maybe i'll take my own next time. The breakfast was good and there was wide choice of food. Yet again only bad thing was on the day of leaving the cleaner woke us up at 9am by entering the room and then seeing the curtains were closed shut the door which woke us up.

Room Tip: Take your own travel kettle, teabags and milk.
