Great location, just ten minutes walk from the rail station. Staff isn't very friendly. The room was clean and cozy, but shower and plumbing was in weak condition. Keeping in mind the free breakfast ( which was great) it's worth it.

old hotel, basic, but correct. not the besto hotel ive eveer visited, but it does the job for just one night, while traveling around germany. not much to do at night around, so abit bored
parking at the back not very easy acess, and not very big. not private parking, so mind your car, as anyone could highjack it, as it is at the back of the hotel, in a small tiny dark street...

It's a hotel in the city center, with two buildings at Viehofer Str. 22 and 23. A was accomodated in the 22 in room nr. A24. It is a thin room with old furniture, small bathroom with toilet. A just write: there was MILDEW everywhere in the shower!!! I will never go there!!!
Breakfast is very simple, TV is small, old and it didn't work properly, wifi didn't work as well (not once during my accomodation).

If you are looking for a decent budget hotel, you can't go wrong with this one. Free wifi, and breakfast is normally included. Breakfast is basic, but enough to get you started. Rooms are very very basic, but comfortable, the double glazed windows keeps out the noise, despite being in a rowdy end of the city centre (only 5 mins walk from Rathause Galeria, and 12 mins from the main railway station). Although the walls seemed thin, I was never bothered by noise from neighbouring rooms. I have stayed here probably more than 20 nights combined across many separate occasions. very nice staff in the hotel, friendly and helpful. The hotel have some rooms on a building across the street (pedestrianised street), but getting in and out is a hassle as it is un manned and you have to buzz a bell for attention, and the rooms there tends to be even more basic in terms of cheap plywood type furnishings. asked to be in the main hotel building if you can.

we stayed here in Juli 2013 during Star Wars Celebration Europe.
Hotel itself has an old fashioned style, Room interior very simple. Bathroom very tiny and has no separate toilet. It was so hot outside but no air condition inside. Was nearly impossible so sleep. And the permanent noise of drunken guys the whole night in the fußgängerzone did the rest.
Positive was the Breakfast - really excellent!
And the friendly staff.

Room Tip: If you wanna stay here, please ask for rooms with direction backyard, no rooms to the Fußgängerzone

Anyone who traveled in Germany way back in the 20th century has almost certainly stayed in city hotels like this before. When you look at the signage, the furnishings and the in-room TVs you can really feel like you stepped back 20+ years! This place with never be confused with luxury, but its cleanliness and convenient location are definitely attractive. The breakfast is probably better than you have a right to expect, but as it doesn't start until 7 you might think fresh brotchen wouldn't be too much to ask. The Wifi works pretty well and is free. The walk to the Hbf is about 10 minutes, but you can reach several tram lines below the Rathaus Galerie in about half that time. The staff is generally pretty good, although unwilling or unable to speak much English. I have to give them credit, they were extremely obliging in holding a large bag for me for several days while I was out of Germany. The bottom line is that this place is well worth considering if you need an affordable place to sleep in the center of town.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pedestrian street in front of the hotel are likely to hear street cleaning (and pos...

This hotel is really good value for money. Where else can you get a city centre room with breakfast for €52? The hotel is situated in the pedestrian precinct 10-5 minutes walk from the main station. The rooms are small and in the annex you may have to climb 3 flights of stairs as I did. However, you have a bathroom and a small TV and you can buy internet access. The hotel is clean and the breakfast (included!) is more than OK. You can sit at the window and watch the people go by as you eat. Noise was no problem (but I was at the back).

For a short stay where only the basics are required this hotel is a good tip.
