“Out of town hotel”

This is a good hotel if you are travelling and need an over night stop or visiting the exhibition. It is near the main roads, but a good 20 minute walk into the center and the Messa, 7 Euros by taxi or there is a buss stop outside.
Rooms are basic and ideal for one or two nights.
There is a good bar and restaurant and plenty of parking. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
It is a bit 80s style but a very nice quiet location.

I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the messe exhibition halls. It is a bit far to walk from the messe but a taxi will cost you about 7 euros. The hotel is a little bit tired but still presentable. Hotel reception staff speak good english and were helpful. The room was clean and shower was hot, not the biggest but adequate. Mini bar well stocked and not expensive. As there was an exhibition they were full and I booked quite late so the room was really expensive for what it was. I didn't eat in the restraunt as there was a queue to be seated but ordered room service which arrived promply even though the kitchen was flat out. The food was OK but nothing special. Breakfast was good with a large buffet and flasks of coffee.
If you need to stay in essen for an exhibition this is fine if a little pricey. I would stay again.

good value all the facilities in the hotel nice size bar and helpful staff
the room nothing to make it out of the other hotels
some how the room need to be refresh look a little 80's early 90's with some carpet who saw better days
the beds are ok but you wont have that extra feeling for sleeping in it.
did not take the breakfast so not sure
the bar was of good size and the prices good

Room Tip: away from car park

Stayed for 5 nights while at the Spiel 2012 Toy & Game fair in Messe Essen.

I was a bit concerned after reading a few less than glowing reviews of the hotel but I really enjoyed my stay. But I really could not find a fault with anything. The rooms are a little smaller than some but perfectly acceptable. The bedroom and the bathroom were spotless, and were kept that way throughout my stay by the cleaning staff.

The breakfast is excellent, both in the range and quality of the food on offer. We were not returning to the hotel until after 8pm each night so we ate in the bar most nights but again the choice available on the menu was great and the quality of the food excellent.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool and spa was great and the hotel is situated just a 5min taxi ride from the exhibition centre.

Would highly recommend the Hotel Bredeney. We will be back at Spiel next year and will definitely be staying here again.

(If I had one small request to the hotel to improve anything it would be to supply better pillows (the current ones are a bit thin)).

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floors are quieter and have a small balcony.

I stay 2 nights in this hotel, very close to the Essen fair.
Is a good hotel, having clean rooms, a nice bar & restaurant (Le Bisou) and swiming pool.
I was satisfied with this hotel and I hope to return on my next visit to Essen.

We picked this hotel due to its proximity to the conference centre for the car show we visited.

The rooms are fine and a decent size. We stayed for 3 nights. We had great breakfasts in the hotel which was a buffet and provided a wide selection of choices. We ate out on each night we stayed - not a fan of hotel restaurants in general and wanted to get to see a bit of Essen as well.

We also went to the swimming pool everyday which is of a decent size.
